Narine, who has opened the inning many a time, smashed Chakravarthy for a huge six down the ground on the first ball he faced. The left-hander then too a double on the third ball of the over. Things then got worse for Chakravarthy as Narine slammed him for four and two back to back sixes. Chakravarthy ended up giving 25 runs from his first over with 24 coming from Narine’s bat.

Chakravarthy was then apparently pulled out of the attack. He was, however, brought back into the attack in the seventh over. The debutant bowled relatively better over but conceded nine runs, which included a boundary. In his third over, Chakravarthy picked an important wicket of Nitish Rana, who scored 63, and gave just one run from it.
