South Africa Win by 18 Runs | USA vs SA Highlights of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight: Quinton de Kock’s Half Century, Bowlers Help Proteas Continue Winning Run

The South African team led by Aiden Markram has continued his winning momentum in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 and have won the match by 18 runs against USA. Andries Gous fought till the end for USA but the target of 195 runs proved to be too much for his team. 

It is a win for South Africa as they defeat USA by 18 runs in the first match of the Super Eights stage of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. It was a close encounter in Antigua and the USA fought well but at the end wasn't able to chase down the target.

USA batsman Andries Gous has shown intent in the run chase and smashes a half-century. Gous reached the fifty run mark in 33 balls and will look to continue the approach.

USA are off to a steady start while chasing down 195 runs against South Africa and have scored 28 runs in the first three overs. Steven Taylor and Andries Gous have looked in control so far. 

South Africa have put up a strong batting display in front of USA in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eights match as the Aaron Jones-led side need 195 runs to win in 20 overs. Quinton de Kock top scored with 74 runs for South Africa whereas Saurabh Netravalkar and Harmeet Singh picked up two wickets each for USA.

Second wicket for USA as Quinton de Kock smashes a full toss straight into the hands of Shayan Jahangir. de Kock was looking good and timed the full toss well for a six by Harmeet Singh but in between came Jahangir, who took a catch at deep mid-wicket to dismiss the Proteas opener. The Proteas have showcased some form for the first time with the bat in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 as they have scored 101 runs in the first ten overs. The South African team will be wanting to continue the same approach and put up a big first innings score. 

The South African team has finished the powerplay on a high and have scored 64 runs in the first six overs against USA. Quinton de Kock has played some big shots and has looked in touch for the first time in the tournament. 

OUT! Saurabh Netravalkar has provided USA with an early wicket and it is Reeza Hendricks, who attempted to break the shackles and get some momentum.
