On numerous occasions during the CWC 2019, the substandard umpiring has come under the scanner. The finals of the CWC 2019 which is currently underway at the Lord’s Cricket Ground between England and New Zealand, was no different. There were a series of bad decisions made by the umpires Kumar Dharamsena and Marais Erasmus. On a couple of occasions, Dharamsena gave wrong decisions and then Marais Erasmus joined the party. On occasion one, it was Dharamsena who had adjudged Henry Nicholls as out. The decision was reviewed and then reversed. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who got edged and taken by the keeper was also adjudged as not out. However, the review had something else in store as the decision was reversed and he was sent packing on the score of 30. Ross Taylor was declared as LBW by Marais Erasmus and the team did not go for a review. However, the replays showed that the ball was a bit too high and Taylor was not out.
