Tim Paine’s banter continued on the Day 3 of the Test match between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This time he took a potshot at Rishabh Pant as he walked in to bat for India’s second innings. The Australian captain reminded him that he has been dropped from the ODI squad due to the return of MS Dhoni. This happened during the 26th over of the innings. Jasprit Bumrah's Career-Best Six-Wicket Haul Sinks Australia; Gives India 292-Run Lead at MCG.

The Aussie captain also suggested him to join Hobart Hurricanes for the Big Bash Premier League. "Big MS Dhoni is back in the one-day squad. We might this bloke down at the @BBLHurricanes," he said. Pant did not respond to any of wicket-keeper’s sledging but he did get a bit distracted. The clip of the incident went viral and was shared by Cricket Australia’s official handle. The day 3 turned out to be quite a good one for the visitors as they got bundled out on the score of 151 runs. All thanks to the heroics of Jasprit Bumrah who snapped six wickets and created havoc in the Aussies camp. This gave India a massive 292-run lead. Bumrah rattled the Aussie batting line-up by accounting for the wickets of opener Marcus Harris (22), Shaun Marsh (19), Travis Head (20), skipper Tim Paine (22) and the tailenders Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood for successive ducks. In the second innings lost the wickets of Hanuma Vihari, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma. They are currently on 54 runs for the loss of five wickets.
