The girl duo has broken the stereotype and have been looking after the barber shop in the Banwari Tola village of Uttar Pradesh. It was their father’s illness, that made Neha and Jyoti take the unconventional way. Now Tendulkar visited the ‘barbershop girls’ and uploaded the photo on his official Instagram account. “A First for me! You may not know this, but I have never gotten a shave from someone else before. That record has been shattered today. Few days back, Tendulkar shared an ad by grooming brand Gillette, which featured Neha and Jyoti. Tendulkar wrote, “the real life story of Neha & Jyoti - daughters, dreamers & champions from Banwari Tola, UP. @GilletteIndia, this story will inspire everyone to have the right attitude and achieve their dreams because we learn from what we see. #NoGlassCeiling #NoInequality #BarberShopGirls.”

Gillette’s commercial, ‘#ShavingStereotypes – The Barbershop Girls of India’ is created by Grey India. Sandipan Bhattacharyya, CEO of Grey Group, believe that the boys need inspiring role models to be better men.

The boys watching today need inspiring role models so that they grow up to be better men.” Bhattacharyya was quoted as saying by exchange4media. Meanwhile, the ad is now viral has over 15 million views on YouTube and has been shared by various celebrities on social networking sites.
