In Pakistan, a video of a bride in Lahore who entered her mehndi programme inside a moving cake has gone viral. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram’s wife Shaniera also shared the viral video and tagged her husband. Shaniera also asked Akram why he never told her this was a thing when they got married five years ago. Shaniera also went on to express her desire to get remarried in that very style.

Akram and Shaniera, an Australian, got married in 2013. The Australian is Akram’s second wife. Akram married Huma Mufti in 1995 who died in 2009 due to multiple organ failure. They had two sons from their marriage. Four years after the Huma’s death, Akram married Shaniera and later she gave birth to a girl.
