The T20I World Cup 2007 have given us various memories. Not only did the Indian team lift the World Cup but also gave us players like Rohit Sharma. The batsman debuted on this day against England on September 19, 2007. During his debut match, Rohit Sharma did not get a chance to bat but this went on to witness the innings of Yuvraj Singh who went on to hit six sixes during the match.

The batsman debuted on this day against England on September 19, 2007. During his debut match, Rohit Sharma did not get a chance to bat but this went on to witness the innings of Yuvraj Singh who went on to hit six sixes during the match. “#ThisDayThatYear in 2007, @ImRo45 made his T20I debut for #TeamIndia,” read the caption of the picture. Talking about the match during Rohit Sharma’s debut India won the game by the game by 18 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag gave a great start to India by making 58 and 68 runs respectively. Robin Uthappa made six runs and made way to the pavilion. It was Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes that was the highlight of the match. India ended the innings on 218 runs.

None of the batsmen from team England could go beyond the score of 43 runs. The team could only reach 200 runs. Yuvraj Singh obviously walked away with the Man of the Match award for his blistering knock.
