The Australian team have already reached England for the upcoming edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup. On their way, the team stopped over in Turkey to visit the storied Gallipoli peninsula, which is the battleground for the World War I. This place holds immense relevance in the history of Australia as about 11,000 Australian and New Zealand soldiers lost their lives in a disastrous Allied military offensive. Dressed in a casual avatar the boys looked extremely serious and sat there in peace. ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Schedule in PDF: Ticket Prices, Dates, Venue Details & Timetable Available for Download Online.

Pat Cummins described this moment as a very special one and the team even expressed the grief for the martyrs by observing a minute long silence. "Just before we left, we laid a wreath and recited the ode and just had a minute's silence," vice-captain Cummins said from Turkey this week. "Just had a really special moment. One I'll remember for the rest of my life. Just spending time together in a place like this, you can't help but learn something about yourself, about your teammates,” he further added.
