Bangladesh showcased yet another disappointing performance on the world stage and were knocked out of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 after the Super Eights. The Bangladeshi team won some close games against low-ranked teams whereas their performance in the Super Eights stage was absolutely poor. Apart from their poor performance, pacer Taskin Ahmed also garnered headlines when it was found that he missed the team bus in the Super Eights match against India due to oversleeping. Bangladesh have never been able to secure a place in the semi-finals of any ICC World Cup so far. Many of the cricket experts trolled the side due to Shakib Al Hasan's average performance and wanted him to be dropped from the side.
