It’s been over a decade since Indian Premier League started in the country. Not a hidden fact that India is a cricket-obsessed nation and several states began individual competitions on the lines of successful IPL model. Tamil Nadu Premier League is one such tournament, which started a couple of years ago and has found a great acceptance from the sports lovers. The winner of the 2016 season was Tuti Patriots followed by Chepauk Super Gillies in 2017. Interestingly, the two teams had beaten the other in the finals of two seasons. It will be interesting to see if any of the other six teams can break the dominance by Tuti and Chepauk. Meanwhile, the leading run-getter of the tournament is Washington Sundar with 459 runs while R Sai Kishore with 29 wickets is the highest wicket-taking bowler.
