After Netherlands clinched the ICC T20 World Cup 2019 qualifier 2019 title, ICC on Sunday released the team of the cricket tournament. International Cricket Council selected the best 11 players in their team according to them. Papua New Guinea skipper Assad Vala was named skipper of the team while Namibia batsman Gerhard Erasmus was selected as vice-captain. The ICC T20 World Cup 2019 Qualifier 2019 witnessed the final match between Netherland and Papua New Guinea, in which the former won by 7 wickets. Meanwhile, the team of the tournament consists of Oman cricketers Jatinder Singh and Bilal Khan. Netherlands player Ryan Ten Doeschate, who has played in IPL tournaments, was also part of the team. ICC T20 World Cup 2019 Qualifiers saw 14 teams participating in the tournament. The teams were divided into two groups of seven teams each. The top 3 teams from each group played in the playoffs. These six teams also qualified for ICC T20 World Cup 2020, slated to be conducted in Australia in October 2020. These teams are Papua New Guinea, Netherlands, Namibia, Ireland, Oman and United Arab Emirates.
