His blistering form continued even during the game against Punjab as he made 80 runs from 35 balls yesterday at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium, Vesu in Surat. Suryakumar slammed five sixes and eight boundaries en route to his blazing half-century and he played a vital role in helping post a total of 243 runs for the loss of three wickets. Prithvi Shaw gave a great start to the team as he made 53 runs from 27 balls slamming four boundaries and an equal number of sixes. Shreyas Iyer remained not out by scoring 80 runs from 40 balls lacing his innings with seven fours and four sixes. With this, he continued to display his blistering form in the tournament. In reply, Shubman Gill scored a half-century and he made 78 runs from 38 balls. Abhishek Sharma missed out on his half-century by three runs from 29 balls. Gurkeerat Singh Mann made 40 runs from 21 balls and laced the same with four boundaries and a couple of sixes. Shardul Thakur, Tushar Deshpande and Shubham Ranjane snapped a couple of wickets. Punjab made 221 runs on the board and Mumbai went on to win the game by 22 runs
