The Australian team retained the Ashes 2019 Trophy after beating England by 185 runs at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. Needless to say that Tim Paine and company are celebrating their hearts out for the feat. Now, here’s a snap that cropped up online where Steve Smith was seen mocking England’s Jack Leach while celebrating Australia’s Ashes 2019 victory. The picture of Steve Smith went viral on social media. Needless to say that the fans were quick enough to notice the same and they slammed Smith for the classless celebration. Talking about the celebrations by the Australians shouted "come back Smithy" and "no ball" in a sly dig at Leach's failed attempt to get the batsman out at Old Trafford. The winning team also sang songs including one chant which went, "Who did we beat? England. How did we do it? Easy" before doing press-ups.

Bit of chat in the UK and Australian press this morning that Steve Smith was mocking Jack Leach last night. The fact is Steve donned some glasses as a nod to the great Chris ‘Bucky’ Rogers. Uncanny resemblance wouldn’t you say! 🤓🏺🇦🇺 @gettysport @stevesmith49 #Ashes19 pic.twitter.com/pDtlsGBY9A

As one may recalled Jack Leach had recreated the single which led the English team to win their third Test match at Headingley by a one run. The series back then stood on 1-1. Talking about the current match, Smith obviously walked away with the Man of the Match award. “Winning key moments, a build-up of pressure, I'm not really sure [what made the difference]. Incredibly pleasing to get rewards for the hard work. It's been a good series, really enjoyed by time in the middle. A year off where I could freshen up, I've been so relaxed and chilled out but working incredibly hard on my game,” he said after the game.
