Australia have made a stumping start in the Test series against New Zealand by winnings the first match by 296 runs. The next clash will be a boxing-day Test match which will get underway on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Steve Smith was delighted with his side’s victory in the opening game and is quite excited about the forthcoming match. The 30-year old took on Instagram and appreciated his team’s effort in Perth and looks all set to take the field once again. Speaking of the ongoing Australia vs New Zealand Test series, Marnus Labuschagne was the standout performer for the Aussies in the opening game as he scored a match-defining ton and put his side on the driver’s seat. Mitchell Starc also looked at his prime and his nine-wicket tally in the match earned him the Man of the Match award. Aussies might have gained a lead in the series but Kane Williamson and Co are very well able to turn the tables around and hence, can’t be taken lightly.
