Sri Lanka cricket team finally arrived in Pakistan for a bilateral series. During Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan 2019, the Sri Lankan team is set to play three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is. Under skipper Lahiru Thirimanne, the Sri Lankan boys started enjoying their time as soon as they landed on Pakistan's soil.

Sri Lanka cricket team finally arrived in Pakistan for a bilateral series. In Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan 2019, the Sri Lankan team is set to play three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is. Under skipper Lahiru Thirimanne, the Sri Lankan boys started enjoying their time as soon as they landed on Pakistan's soil. There were a lot of discussions in Sri Lanka cricket team over the decision to tour Pakistan and many players opted out to play against Men in Green on latter's home soil. Players like Angelo Mathews, Lasith Malinga, Dimuth Karunaratne, Lasith Malinga among others denied going on the Pakistan tour. The Sri Lanka cricket team have a dreadful past on the Pakistan soil. In 2009, their team bus was attacked by 12 gunmen outside Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Sri Lanka team were on their way for the 2nd Test against Pakistan. Six Sri Lanka players were wounded in the attack, which also killed two civilians and six Pakistani policemen. The Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan 2009 was called off after the deadly attack. ICC had also banned Pakistan from hosting any international matches on their home soil. However, the time has changed now and Sri Lanka team have taken the brave step for touring Pakistan.
