SRH vs RR Highlights IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals Beat Sunrisers Hyderabad By 5 Wickets

SIX: Riyan Parag smashes Khaleel Ahmed for a six over extra cover to lead Rajasthan Royals to a five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. They needed 80 from the final 8 overs with most of their high-profile batsmen back in the hut. But Riyan Parag (42) and Rahul Tewatia (45) stitched an 80-run stand to produce a remarkable turnaround in fortunes and seal a magnificent win. 

Rahul Tewatia it is again. This young all-rounder from Haryana has once again, with some help from Riyan Parag, turned the match on for Rajasthan Royals. He hits Natarajan for a six over fine leg after striking one through mid-off. Rajasthan need 8 runs to win from 6 balls. Khaleel Ahmed to bowl the final over. 

Rahul Tewatia has just smashed Rashid Khan for three consecutive fours and changed the momentum in favour of Rajasthan Royals. They were not in the game two overs ago. But 18 from Sandeep Sharma's over and 14 from Rashid's final over has suddenly put them on the driver's seat. RR need 22 from 12 deliveries to win the game.  

Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia have kept Rajasthan Royals alive in the chase with some quick singles and twos. Parag smashed Khaleel Ahmed for a six to end the over and also help RR breach the 100-run mark. They need 54 runs from 24 deliveries with 5 wickets in hand. 

Out! Rashid Khan gets his second wicket and Rajasthan Royals are folding fast. Sanju Samson is the batsman dismissed. The delivery was a leg-break and Samson looked to drive it but edged straight to wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow. Samson c Bairstow b Rashid Khan 26(25)

Out! Robin Uthappa is dismissed by Rashid Khan. It was a legspinner from Rashid and Uthappa fails to play. He is given out and immediately reviews. But the decision stands and Rajasthan Royals lose another wicket and their only review. Uthappa lbw b Rashid Khan 18(15)

Out! Jos Buttler departs. Rajasthan Royals are losing wickets in a heap here. Terrific delivery from Khaleel Ahmed. It was a slow delivery on the middle stump line and Buttler failed to read it. Closed his bat early and edged to wicket-keeper behind. Buttler c Bairstow b Khaleel Ahmed 16(13)

Run-Out! Rajasthan Royals have shot themselves in the foot as an unnecessary risk has seen skipper Steve Smith bein run-out. A brilliant throw from Vijay Shankar and a slight hesitation from the RR batsmen meant SRH got a much-needed wicket. Smith run out (Shankar/T Natarajan) 5(6).

Bowled! Khaleel Ahmed strikes in his very first over of the game. The SRH bowler gets the wicket of dangerous Ben Stokes, who was sent to open the innings in his very first IPL 2020 game. However, the move backfired as the Englishman dragged the ball onto the stumps. Stokes b Khaleel Ahmed 5(6).

Rajasthan Royals have gone with an unusual strategy as Ben Stokes will be accompanying his England colleague Jos Buttler to open the innings. The duo recently opened for England against West Indies in a Test match and it would be interesting to see how the move pans out. Ben Stokes is playing his first game in IPL 2020.

Kane Williamson and Priyam Garg give Sunrisers Hyderabad a great flourish to end the innings. The pair took 19 off Archer’s over and 16 from final over bowled by Jaydev Unadkat to help SRH post 158 on the scoreboard. Williamson remained not-out on 22 runs from 12 deliveries with the help of two sixes.

Out! Priyam Garg is run-out off the final delivery of the innings while attempting an extra run. But he has done his job for the team. Garg scored 15 runs off just eight deliveries, which included a maximum and a boundary. Priyam Garg run-out (Jofra Archer/Buttler) 15(8)

Out! Manish Pandey departs after completing his half-century. Pandey, who got to his fifty off 40 deliveries looked tired due to the heat. He tried to smash a slow bouncer from Jaydev Unadkat but found Rahul Tewatia at deep mid-on. Another crucial breakthrough for Rajasthan Royals. Manish Pandey c Rahul Tewatia b Unadkat 54(44)

Out! Jofra Archer shatters David Warner's to give Rajasthan Royals the breakthrough. Warner falls just two runs shy of another half-century. The left-hander was trying to go for the big shots. He made room for himself and slogged but missed the ball and it crushed his stumps. Warner b Jofra Archer 48(38)

Halfway through their innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad are on 61/1. David Warner is batting on 30 from 25 deliveries while Manish Pandey is on run-a-ball 16. Warner is slowly getting into his groove after struggling initially and has already hit three boundaries and a maximum. Rajasthan Royals have kept SRH away from finding regular boundaries and have kept the line tight. 

Out! Jonny Bairstow falls to a stunning catch from Sanju Samson. Bairstow had just smashed a six over mid-wicket and tried to go again but couldn't middle it and Samson took a blinder at the boundary. The England opener was looking to go big this over after failing to find a boundary in the opening four overs. But it eventually brought it downfall.
