SRH vs KKR Highlights of VIVO IPL 2021: Kolkata Knight Riders Beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 Runs

Kolkata Knight Riders win by 10 Runs! That's the victory for KKR. Andre Russell does well to defend 22 runs in the final over. It looked like Abdul Samad might take SRH to victory but was left too much to do. KKR open the season with a win.

It is down to last two overs now and Sunrisers Hyderabad need 38 runs to win. Pat Cummins has one over left and Andre Russell one. Meanwhile, Russell in his penultimate over accounts for Vijay Shankar.

With Jonny Bairstow back in the hutch, all eyes will be on Manish Pandey. Bairstow was caught at point off Pat Cummins. Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi has joined Pandey in the middle.

Excellent batting this by Jonny Bairstow, he has completed his half-century. He is batting on 54 off 35 balls. He holds key for Sunrisers. Manish Pandey, on the other hand, is batting on 34 off 27 balls.

That's fifty partnership up between Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey. These two are looking threatening in the middle, especially Bairstow. Meanwhile, Sunrisers need 119 more runs to win from 11 overs, that's over ten runs per over needed.

After having lost two quick wickets, Sunrisers Hyderabad are somewhat back on the track with Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey in the middle. SRH now need 143 more runs to win from 13 overs.

Wicket! Shakib Al Hasan strikes on his very first ball of the game, getting rid of Wriddhiman Saha. The batsmen misread the length and dragged the ball onto the stumps courtesy of an inside edge. W Saha b Shakib 7(6).

Wicket! Prasidh Krishna provides a breakthrough in his very first over of the game as he dismisses the dangerous David Warner.  Warner tried to push at the ball but edged it straight to the keeper.  Warner c Karthik b Prasidh 3(4).

David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha have started the proceedings for Sunrisers Hyderabad. They have a huge score to chase and need to start on the front foot and form a huge partnership. 

So, Kolkata Knight Riders finish with a good total on board. Dinesh Karthik provided KKR the much-needed impetus towards the end as he finished unbeaten on 22 off nine balls.

Kolkata Knight Riders have lost two quick wickets here. First Natarajan accounted for Rahul Tripathi and then Rashid Khan removed Andre Russell. Meanwhile, three overs remain now as Knight Riders look for final onslaught.

Six more overs to go as Kolkata Knight Riders eye final onslaught. Nitish Rana is still out there and he will be looking to finish big. He is batting on 72 off 47 balls.

That's half-century up for Nitish Rana, what a knock this has been by the left-hander. He was promoted as an opener and has responded well. Halfway through Knight Riders are in a good position. 

OUT! Finally a breakthrough for Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is Rashid Khan who strikes in his first over. Shubman Gill was looking to slog Khan cross-batted but he failed to pick a slower googly. S Gill b Rashid Khan 15(13)

Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill are the openers for Kolkata Knight Riders. Rana is off to a great start and has already collected six fours. This is turning out to be a good start for Knight Riders.
