The Sunrisers Hyderabad are back to winning ways after losing three games consecutively as they went on to beat the Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. The match between SRH and CSK was held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, in Hyderabad which the home team won quite convincingly. The last time the two teams met each other was in IPL2018 where the Chennai Super Kings won all the four games. But this time it was different. After winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings elected to bat first. Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson gave a good start to the team by stitching 79 runs for the first wicket. Suresh Raina who was leading the team in the absence of MS Dhoni did not stay for a long time as he scored only 13 runs and made way to the pavilion. The Chennai Super Kings was struggling and they only scored 132 runs.

In reply, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow gave a solid start of the team as they jointly scored 66 runs for the team. Kane Williamson made three runs from five balls. Jonny Bairstow and Vijay Shankar built a partnership of 34 runs. Deepak Hooda who played a bad shot and made way to the pavilion on 13 runs. Jonny Bairstow hit the winning shot and with this, they won the game by six wicket in 16.5 overs. David Warner went on to be the Man of the Match for his innings. “Great support, even though there is plenty of yellow they are a fantastic crowd. Some times in our chases we have been a bit hesitant and that's why I tried to bat 20 overs,” he said at the end of the match. The team will now play will next play against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
