The Sun TV network owned Sunrisers Hyderabad were the runners-up of the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League. Led by New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, the franchise is known for its impressive performances over the years since its debut in 2013 edition of the IPL. It has a single title to its name which it won in 2016 under the leadership of Australian batsman David Warner. It has also made it to the play-off stages on two occasions( 2013 and 2017). IPL Auction 2019: Online Live Streaming, Timing and All That You Need to Know Ahead of Indian Premier League 12 Auctions.

Tom Moody and VVS Laxman are the two key people who are part of the management team with the former Australian all-rounder the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Last season due to the unavailability of David Warner, Kane Williamson was appointed as the skipper and he managed to lead his side to the final despite not being favoured by many.

SRH’s strength has been their bowling with the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma, and Rashid Khan. They have on several occasion successfully defended low scores which has helped them snatch wins from the jaws of defeat. These wins have contributed to the team making the playoffs despite some troubles with the bat.  Gautam Gambhir Reveals Why He Played IPL 2018 for Free.

SRH Team for IPL 2019:

Retained Players: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Hooda, Siddarth Kaul, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Yusuf Pathan, Basil Thampi, Manish Pandey, T Natarajan, Ricky Bhui, Sandeep Sharma, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Shakib Al Hasan, Billy Stanlake.

All-rounders like Yusuf Pathan and Shakib-Al-Hasan form the core of the side and often chip in with both bat and bowl. It will interesting to see how they deal with the loss of Shikhar Dhawan after the Indian opener moved to the Delhi Capitals. It is likely they will need a top order destructive batsman in order to add more firepower to their arsenal. The overall picture looks rosy for the Sunrisers Hyderabad as they will once again be one of the most difficult sides to break down in the Indian Premier League.
