The South Africa women's national cricket team proved out to be dominant in their opening ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 match against West Indies and achieved a one-sided 10-wicket victory. Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits showcased utter dominance with the bat and never really allowed any West Indies bowler to settle. At the end, South Africa women chased down 119 runs with ten wickets to spare. Apart from their dominant batting, the Proteas were brilliant with the ball as well. Nonkululeko Mlaba picked up four wickets with the ball and really helped in setting up the tone of the match. The South African team has given an absolute hammering to the West Indies women's cricket team as they win the match by 10 wickets while chasing down a target of 119 runs. 

South African openers Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt have completed their half-century and the Proteas are cruising towards the target. 

West Indies have almost been ruled out of the match as Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits are nearing their half-centuries. They will now look forward to remaining unbeaten and helping the team achieve a dominating win. 

South African openers Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits have been all over the West Indies bowlers so far. The duo has already put up over 50 runs in the first nine overs and racing towards the target at a very smooth pace. 

The South African openers have continued their positive approach against West Indies and have not lost a wicket in the powerplay. The pair of Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits have played some decent shots and have not allowed the West Indies bowlers to settle so far.

The left-arm spinner struck at regular intervals including two wickets in an over and helped South Africa restrict West Indies to a low score. Marizanne Kapp was superb as well. West Indies have their task cut out if they are to defend this target.

West Indies have Stafanie Taylor and Shemaine Campbell out in the middle and the two will look to fight back after three wickets were lost quickly. South Africa on the other hand, are well and truly on top and will aim to put more pressure on the former champions.
