SA-W Win By 80 Runs | South Africa vs Scotland Highlights of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Proteas Register Commanding Victory

South Africa have beaten Scotland by 80 runs! What an emphatic win this has been for South Africa, as they return to winning ways with a bang! It has been a completely dominant show with both bat and ball and come out on top, deservedly here. With this win, South Africa have moved to the top of Group B standings in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 points table and further strengthen their case for a spot in the semifinals. No batter got a fifty but it was a complete performance which saw them post the highest score of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 so far. In the second innings, Nonkululeko Mlaba was the best bowler as she took three wickets while Nadine de Klerk and Chloe Tryon took two wickets each. OUT! South Africa have an early wicket with Chloe Tryon dismissing Sarah Bryce! Scotland have been dealt a big blow and they are now under pressure to make the most of this powerplay. Sarah Bryce c and b Chloe Tryon 5(8)

Scotland are off to a positive start with Sarah Bryce and Saskia Horley hitting six runs off the first over bowled by Marizanne Kapp. The highlight of that over was Bryce hitting Kapp for a four on the leg side.

OUT! Tazmin Brits departs and Olivia Bell has struck! The right-hander attempted to hit it over the fence but failed to get the distance with Kathryn Bryce taking the catch. Marizanne Kapp has walked out to the middle after Anneke Bosch's dismissal and she along with Tazmin Brits would want to score as quickly as possible. This is a very good start and the Proteas will eye a total in the region of 160-170 from here. Earlier, Darcy Carter struck with her first ball, dismissing Anneke Bosch.

A very good powerplay for South Africa! South Africa have had a good start in this contest with Laura Wolvaardt leading the charge with Tazmin Brits. Scotland's fielders have not been at their best and they have allowed a lot of scoring opportunities to the batters. Both the batters have been able to free their arms on the off-side and play some fine strokes. 

South Africa have had a brisk start, scoring 23 runs in three overs. Laura Wolvaardt earlier was dropped off Kathryn Bryce's bowling in the second over and she will look to make the most of that reprieve.
