New Zealand win the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 title! What a win this has been for the White Ferns, who have won the title for the very first time! The celebrations are sure to go long into the night and why not! They have played superb all-round cricket and deservedly find themselves as the winners of what has been a special tournament. New Zealand had lost 10 consecutive losses going into this tournament but have been simply sensational to come out on top and be crowned the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 champions! Amelia Kerr has been simply superb, with both bat and ball and tonight, she put up a special performance! Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine and Lea Tahuhu and the other New Zealand stars finally have their hands on the ICC Women's T20 World Cup title! On the other hand, it is heartbreaking for South Africa as they lose their second consecutive Women's T20 World Cup final. Laura Wolvaardt and her team can be extremely proud of how they played all tournament but it was not to be for them in the end. They will take time to look back at what went wrong tonight. South Africa have had a double heartbreak this year, with both the men's and women's teams losing the T20 World Cup finals. A tough match but they have lots to take away from this.

The equation keeps getting tougher for South Africa, who now need to score 51 runs in three overs to win this match. New Zealand are three overs away from winning what would be a maiden Women's T20 World Cup title! Earlier, they had 10 consecutive losses in the format this year! 

South Africa have reached 100 runs in 16 overs and now, they need 59 off four overs! New Zealand have tightened the screws on South Africa's batting and the pressure is mounting big time on South Africa here. 

OUT! The wickets keep falling for South Africa and now, they have lost Sune Luus! The right-hander did not hit it well with the ball striking the toe-end of the bat and Suzie Bates does not make a mistake in taking the catch. The right-hander played and missed a shot on the leg-side and an excellent review by New Zealand showed that there was an edge as the ball passed the bat! OUT! Amelia Kerr has returned to the attack and struck with the first ball of her second over! Laura Wolvaardt tried to break the shackles but hit the ball straight to Suzie Bates who takes a simple catch. New Zealand have made run-scoring a bit difficult after Tazmin Brits' dismissal. For South Africa, Laura Wolvaardt and Anneke Bosch are out in the middle and it will be interesting to see how these two take this chase from here on.

The powerplay is done and South Africa will feel very good about the 47 runs they have scored so far. Captain Laura Wolvaardt, who has been in good form, has played some good shots. New Zealand on the other hand, would want to break this partnership and make run-scoring difficult than what it currently is. 

South Africa have had a strong start to this run chase, scoring 24 runs off three overs. New Zealand have used their spinners early on and would want to apply pressure on these two batters. With three more overs remaining in the powerplay, how much more can South Africa get?

Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits have started this run chase for South Africa with them scoring seven runs off the first over by Rosemary Mair. Amelia Kerr has not come out to field and Hannah Rowe is the substitute fielder. 

New Zealand have scored 158/5 in 20 overs, in what is a good score in the final! Maddy Green's 12 off six balls helped the White Ferns finish on a high and they will be pleased with this score. Ayabonga Khaka gave away 16 runs off the final over and New Zealand will feel that they have the momentum heading into the break. South Africa would back the batters to do the job but the task would be far from an easy one.
