Former India cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly criticised MS Dhoni, like netizens on Twitter, and questioned the move to hold back Dhoni in the chase against New Zealand in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Manchester. The former captain asked, “Why no MS Dhoni? It’s inexplicable. He’s not out yet when India are under pressure. Commentator Mark Nicolas also asked rhetorically as to why was Dhoni not out there in the middle. However, Dhoni walked out to bat after Rishabh Pant was dismissed by Santner. India lost half its side chasing 240, even before reaching 100 and are struggling in the semi-final against New Zealand.
