Sourav Ganguly has been elected as the new President of the BCCI and will assume his office from October 23, 2019. Ever since Dada had been unanimously elected as the President of the BCCI, wishes have started pouring in for the former Indian captain. This included players like Harbhajan Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and of course his fans. Now, Ganguly responded to the tweet by Bhajji and sought his help like he did when the two donned the Indian colours together. Indian Cricket Will Continue to Prosper Under Ganguly Undoubtedly: Laxman. 

Bhajji had posted a snap with Dada which had a congratulatory message and the Turbonator also wished him for the future. “Thank u bhajju ...need your support in the same manner as u bowled from one end for India to win matches,” responded the Bengal Tiger. The former Indian captain defeated the likes of Brijesh Patel, N Srinivasan and other leading contenders for becoming the President of the BCCI. Check out the tweet below:

Yesterday, the former Indian captain also shared a picture on social media with his new team which will take over the office from October 23, 2019. After becoming the BCCI president, Ganguly said that he will be focusing more on domestic cricket. “We will speak to everyone first as we take a decision, but my biggest priority will be to look after first-class cricketers," Ganguly told PTI in the early hours of Monday.
