Yesterday, India had a disastrous outing at Headingley Stadium against England as the guests lost the decider by 2-1. The match started with England winning the toss and electing to field and India got out at the paltry score of 256 runs. None of the batsmen apart from Virat Kohli reached the 50-run mark. Rohit Sharma got out on the paltry score of 2 runs whereas, Suresh Raina was sent to the pavilion on 1 from 4 balls. This did not go down well with the former captain of India Sourav Ganguly.

During the post-match show, Ganguly lashed out at Raina and has asked the selectors to look beyond the left-hander. He said, “With all due respect, I think there are better players around. He has played for a long period of time. He has got runs in ODIs, not many overseas, but India needs to look ahead." MS Dhoni who made 42 runs off 66 balls also was spoken about.

The Bengal southpaw said that he needs to do much more if he intends to play the 2019 World Cup. “If Dhoni has got to play, then he has got to get in a position where he keeps hitting. If it is 24-25 overs and he has got to build an innings, he is struggling at the moment. He may turn it around as he has been a great player for India but at the present he is not turning it around enough and this has been going on for more than a year. India are too top heavy at the moment. If your top-order doesn't get runs, then you are struggling. It is a big issue. You have to have quality like England have."
