Soumya Sarkar Along With Another Bangladesh Player Vomited During the 1st IND vs BAN T20I in Delhi Due to Pollution, Says Reports

The first T20I between Indian and Bangladesh was conducted smoothly despite Delhi’s poor air quality. The atmosphere didn’t seem to have affected the match at all. However, according to reports, Soumya Sarkar and one other Bangladesh player felt uneasy during the match and even vomited. The match was played under Delhi’s hazardous air quality which many considered is be harmful to the players. According to the reports of Espncricinfo, Soumya Sarkar and one more Bangladeshi player faced some health problems during Bangladesh’s chase. Despite all this Sarkar played a crucial knock of 39 runs which helped Bangladesh register a maiden T20I win over the Men in Blue. On the eve of the encounter, wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim claimed that pollution is not an issue for him and he is focusing on the game.

After the controversial first match, the second of the series is also under the clouds as Rajkot is under the threat of facing a ‘Maha’ cyclone and the match can get washed-off. Talking about the India vs Bangladesh series, the visitors won the first match by seven wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. A victory in the second clash (if happens) will seal the series for them. On the other hand, the Rohit Sharma-led side will aim redemption by making a great comeback and squaring the series 1-1.
