On the opening day of the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 during the Andhra Pradesh vs Vidarbha match the play was stopped for a very strange reason. The weather was absolutely fine but it was a snake that resulted in the match being stopped for some time. The unlikely visitor made its presence felt at the Dr. Gokaraju Liala Gangaaraju ACA Cricket Ground, Mulapadu in Vijayawada. Once the snake was spotted, the ground staff was pressed into the action as they tried to shoo away the reptile. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video on Twitter and wrote a witty caption for it, which read, “SNAKE STOPS PLAY! There was a visitor on the field to delay the start of the match.” The video within one hour after being uploaded had over 10k views.
