With England pulling off a comprehensive 119 run win against New Zealand yesterday at the Riverside Ground, it’s almost curtains down on Pakistan’s campaign in the CWC 2019. Only a miracle can bring Pakistan in the semifinals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as they will be playing against Bangladesh at Lord’s Cricket Ground tomorrow. This is quite an unrealistic scenario as Pakistan needs to win by more than 300 runs against Bangladesh to qualify for the semis. Ahead of the game, Mohammad Yousuf while speaking of the chances of the Men in Green in the semi-finals, said that lightening needs to strike the Bangla Tigers if Pakistan is to make a way in the top four. Pakistan Semi-Final Chances: Here’s How PAK Can Qualify for CWC 2019 Semis and Beat New Zealand on Net Run Rate, Check Scenarios.

The former Pakistani cricketer said that he is aware of the fact that Pakistan is out of the tournament “Unless a miracle happens, like if lightning strikes the Bangladeshi players after which they all fall on the ground. Or if there is a scenario where Pakistan needs to score just 10 runs in 1 over. These are difficult scenarios. Even if you are playing against one of the weakest teams, to win by 316 runs is a mammoth task. But let’s pray for a miracle to happen,” Yousuf said.

Pakistan is placed on number five of the ICC Cricket 2019 points table with nine points. New Zealand stands on three with 11 points. Whereas, England, Australia and India have already qualified for the semi-finals of the CWC 2019.
