Just after Pakistan ended their CWC 2019 with a win against Bangladesh today at Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London, Shoaib Malik announced his retirement from one international cricket. His teammates also gave him a guard of honour while the team was on their way back to the pavilion to celebrate his illustrious career. With this, there were many tweets who hailed the Pakistan batsman and thanked him for his services. Shoaib Malik has so far played 35 Tests, 287 ODIs and 111 T20Is, has announced his retirement. “Today I retire from One Day International cricket. Huge Thank you to all the players I have played with, coaches I have trained under, family, friends, media, and sponsors. Most importantly my fans, I love you all #PakistanZindabad,” he said in his tweet. Needless to say that the fans got emotional and posted tweets to thank the former captain of Pakistan. There were a couple of hashtags trending on social media as Malik decided to hang his boots.  One of them was #ShoaibMalik and the other was #ThankyouShoaib Malik. Shoaib Malik did not have a very good outing at the CWC 2019. Malik scored a couple of ducks in the three matches he was played in. When it comes to the bowling department, Malik managed to take 1 wicket against England.
