Caribbean batsman Shimron Hetmyer bagged a whopping amount 7.75 crores from Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 player auction and the southpaw seemed delighted after getting the news. In a video posted by the official account of Delhi Capital on Twitter, Hetmyer was seen dancing to Delhi’s side official theme song and that too on a table. The left-handed batsman is currently in India itself with the West Indies team for the ODI series. According to the Delhi Capitals, Hetmyer shared the video after being asked to give a message for the franchise’s fans. The dasher’s euphoria can be clearly seen in the video and will certainly eye to put up a brilliant performance in order to guide Delhi to their maiden IPL title. Talking about the other buys of Delhi Capitals in the auctions, they also bagged the services of Marcus Stoinis (4.8 cr), Alex Carey (2.4 cr), Chris Woakes (1.5 cr) and Jason Roy (1.5 cr). So, they certainly have gathered a good lot of both Indian and foreign players and will fancy their chances to lift their maiden IPL title. The tournament will go underway on March 19, 2020.
