Shikhar Dhawan's Latest Tweet

Shikhar Dhawan was reportedly ruled out of the Cricket World Cup 2019 for three weeks with a thumb injury that he sustained during India vs Australia match on June 9 at The Oval in London. Dhawan had hit a century as India beat Australia by 36 runs to remain undefeated in the competition. The 33-year-old batsman scored 117 runs from 109 deliveries, which included 16 boundaries helping India post 352/5.

With this century, Dhawan became the Indian batsman with the most number of centuries in England. He didn’t turn up to field against the Aussies and was seen resting in the dressing room with an ice-pack covering his injured thumb for the rest of the match. However, if Dhawan's tweet is anything to go by, we may see more of Dhawan action during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as the Team India batsman refuses to be bogged by an injury.
