At the start of the series, many people believed that KL Rahul should open the Indian innings with Rohit Sharma instead of Dhawan but the batsman silenced his critics in style. He was watchful at the start but took the attack to the opposition after settling his feet. He was scoring runs at a rapid pace but failed to time a big shot and gave an easy catch to Mitchell Starc over Kane Richardson’s delivery.

Earlier in the match, Aaron Finch again won the toss and invited India to bat first. Both Rohit and Dhawan gave the home side a good start and set a great platform for the other batsman to pile up a big first-innings score. After a 10-wicket loss in the first came, the Men in Blue certainly have made a good comeback and are looking all set to pile up a mammoth score.
