The mankading controversy featuring Jos Buttler and Ravichandran Ashwin had hardly died down and here came another fiasco during the tie between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings yesterday at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi. It was Delhi Capitals’ bowler Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada who got into a verbal spat with CSK opener Shane Watson. So it all started with Ishant Sharma’s animated celebration after he dismissed Ambati Rayudu. The celebration sent CSK opener into laughter and this did not go down well with the Delhi pacer. CSK beat DC by 6 wickets.
Ishant went to straight to the CSK opener to have a confrontation and a few words were exchanged between the two. Shreyas Iyer quickly jumped into the situation and bailed out Sharma. Later, Kagiso Rabada was also unhappy with Watson as the CSK opener obstructed his way. The two also had a heated exchange of words. The video of both incidents went viral and was shared on social media. DC vs CSK, IPL 2019 Stat Highlights: Shane Watson Guides CSK Home, As Dwayne Bravo Snaps Three Wickets Against Delhi Capitals.
