It’s been a really long time that the Australian legendary Shane Warne might have retired from international cricket for a long time. But the spinner continues to be in limelight for a lot of other things than cricket. Now, Shane Warne has released his autobiography titled ‘No Spin’ in which the Australian great has made a very startling revelation about attempted match-fixing. He mentioned the incident where Pakistani cricketer Saleem Malik offered Warne USD 20,000 if he agreed to bowl badly at the 1994 Test between the two nations. While speaking to NDTV, Shane said that the money would reach him in half an hour. “Saleem Malik offered me 200,000 US dollars, he said it will be in my room in half-an-hour if I bowl wide of the off-stump and the match was a draw. That's the bottom line of what he asked," said the Warne. Malik also reacted to the allegation made by Warne and said that it (allegations) destroyed his career when he was at peak of his career. “Now I want to see what the International Cricket Council (ICC) and their board will do," he further stated.

This is not the first time Saleem Malik has been accused of offering money to the players of the opponent. Back in 1995, Mark Waugh and Tim May had also revealed that Maleek offered money to lose matches. Salim Parveez, a Pakistani bookie had also mentioned that had given $100,000 (Rs 42.5 lakh) to the cricketer to fix Pakistan vs Australia match.
