In a comical incident during the GT20 Canada 2024 after the Toronto Nationals vs Bangla Tigers Eliminator match got washed out. As per the points table, Tigers would have easily qualified for the Qualifier 2 due to their higher rank in the points table. However, GT20 Canada announced that the Nationals have qualified for the finals. As per the playing rules at least five overs are needed for a match result but as the match was washed out, the match referee wanted to decide the match result with a super over.
