Yesterday, team Pakistan lost against Bangladesh by 37 runs at the virtual semi-finals of the Asia Cup 2018. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the team performed badly in all departments of the game and could not even score of a paltry total of 239 runs and got out on the score of 202. The loss against Bangladesh did not go down well with Pakistani former skipper Shahid Afridi, who lashed at the team and said that he was quite disappointed with the performance of the team. Congratulating the Bangla tigers for their performance, Afridi also emphasised on the need of practice for Pakistan so that they could make a stronger comeback in future. After winning the toss, Bangladesh elected to bat first and lost early wickets. It was Mushfiqur Rahim and Mohammad Mithun who added 144 runs to the crumbling Bangladeshi side. Titbits from others helped the team to put up the target of 239 runs. Junaid Khan from Pakistan snapped four wickets. Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali got a couple of wickets each whereas Shadab Khan got one. From Pakistan, only Imam-ul-Haq scored 83 runs as Mustafizur Rahman snapped four wickets. Mehidy Hasan Miraz got a couple of wickets. Rest of the three bowlers got one wicket each and Bangladesh won the game by 37 wickets. The team will now play India in the finals of the Asia Cup on Friday, September 28, 2018.
