Amidst the Indian Premier League 2024, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have opened up applications for Team India's next head coach. The tenure of Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the Indian cricket team is getting over after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Apart from these reports, there are also claims that Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan doesn't want Gautam Gambhir to leave KKR. As per a report by Dainik Jagran, Shah Rukh has offered a blank cheque to Gambhir and asked him to stay as the team's mentor.

The Kolkata Knight Riders will be taking on the SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. KKR will be hoping they lift their third trophy and repeat the performance they showcased in Qualifier 1.
