Nazmul Islam was incisive and accurate, which piled on the pressure.

Coming to the run chase, it was another disappointing show from the Zimbabweans. Cephas Zhuwao showed a lot of promise against the new balls but then once he got out, the rest simply could not even rotate the strike. The likes of Moor, Williams and Ervine actually tried to bat deep and then hit big towards the end but the last part never came.

Let us revisit that catch taken by Craig Ervine at first slip of Saifuddin. Over number 31, ball number 4. Bangladesh were amidst a collapse, at 141/6. Saifuddin had not even open his account. Had that been given, well, you never know...

Well, the result might seem like a close encounter, but in reality, it was not. It was done and dusted around the halfway mark itself and the stubbornness from the Zimbabwe lower order batsmen to not throw their wickets away got it close.
