Zimbabwe and Nepal tour of Singapore 2019

Singapore beat Zimbabwe by 4 runs in a thrilling encounter to register their first victory in the Singapore Tri-Nation Series. Zimbabwe, who beat Nepal in their first game, needed 10 runs in the final over but fell short by 4 runs to eventually suffer their first loss in the tri-series.

Zimbabwe bid adieu to captain Hamilton Masakadza in their final game at the Bangladesh Tri-Series, who smashed records in his final T20I appearance for the national team. Zimbabwe won that game against Afghanistan and seems to have carried on the momentum from there. They faced little difficulty in seeing-off Nepal in the first game of the Singapore Tri-Nation series.

Paras Khadka’s innings of 106 runs comprised of seven boundaries and nine hits over the fence. The Nepal skipper also shared a 145-run partnership with Aarif Sheikh, which itself is a record stand for the second wicket in the shortest format of the game. The 145 runs stand between Khadka and Aarif is the fifth-highest partnership for the second wicket in T20I cricket.
