New Zealand vs England Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - T20 Commentary
1st Inn
2nd Inn
End of Over : 20.0NZ: 196/5
A very good total on the board posted by New Zealand after being put into bat. Fifties from Martin Guptill and a resurgent Kane Williamson, along with some handy cameos from Mark Chapman and Tim Seifert, sees the Black Caps get close to the 200-mark. England did well in patches, but could not hold their nerve in the second half of the innings. 113 runs were leaked in the last 10, with 62 coming in the last 5. What will pain the Englishmen more than anything is Williamson's missed run out chance, when he was on a duck. The wicket is two-paced, but the boundaries are small, and England have got the big hitters in their ranks. Should be a delicious run chase. Join us shortly for it.
19.61
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. Good end to the over by Jordan. Fires it full again outside off, Seifert throws his bat at it and misses. But since it's the last ball, both batsmen run and cross over successfully, beating Buttler's missed shy at the stumps. So 15 from the last over, and with that, NEW ZEALAND FINISH ON 196/5!
19.50
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. Dot ball. Much-needed for England and Jordan. Cutting back in from middle, Seifert swings across the line after clearing his front leg but the ball goes right through the gap.

End of Over : 1912 RunsNZ: 181/5
18.6W
Mark Wood to Mark Chapman. OUT! Chapman is out of here! This time Billings holds on to it. The southpaw stands tall to this shorter ball and pulls it over mid-wicket. Doesn't get the distance on it this time as it's straight down Sam Billings' throat this time. He holds on to it and that's the end of Chapman's useful little cameo.
18.6wd
Mark Wood to Mark Chapman. Wide! Wide down the leg side, No trouble at all for the batsman. The umpire has signalled a wide.

Chris Jordan to Kane Williamson. OUT! WILLIAMSON DEPARTS! An end of a superb knock from the Kiwi skipper, all credit to Chris Jordan though. Just 3 runs and the vital wicket of Williamson. End of Over : 1712 RunsNZ: 166/3
16.60
David Willey to Mark Chapman. Not out! That's comfortably going over. Late review taken by Buttler, probably more out of desperation. Length ball shaping back in, slower in pace, Chapman misses it completely and swings across the line too early. Is caught high on the thigh pads and an appeal goes up. Nothing from the umpire. Willey says it's too high, but Buttler wants to go ahead with it anyway. Replays confirm that height is the problem and England lose their only review. But it was not an easy one, as the TV umpire had to take multiple looks at it due to a spike being shown on the Snicko as the ball passed the bat. But, there was some visible gap on the screen so the umpire ruled it out.
Review taken! It's taken by England for an lbw decision against Mark Chapman.
16.56
David Willey to Mark Chapman. SIX! Chapman now joins in on the action! Angling into him on a back of a length, Chapman moves across a step and brings his wrists into play. Lofts it and then dumps it over backward square leg for a biggie.

15.51
Mark Wood to Mark Chapman. Short of a good length on the body, pulled along the ground in front of square leg for a single.
15.43
Mark Wood to Kane Williamson. Nice work from the two men out in the deep. Williamson whips this through mid-wicket. Vince out in the deep first puts in the dive, parries it towards Billings who's there to assist him, he too though has some work to do and he puts in another dive. Keeps it just inside the rope and keeps the batsmen to just three. Replays confirm that, well done.

13.5W
Adil Rashid to Colin de Grandhomme. OUT! Adil Rashid on a hat-trick! He has Chris Jordan to thank for this but the wicket is all his. What. A. Catch. Absolutely outstanding. Tossed up leg break on middle and off, de Grandhomme goes inside out and lofts it over wide mid off. Jordan is right at the rope, he times his jump well and takes it with his right hand above his head. Beautiful. New Zealand in a spot of bother now, Colin can be dangerous in the death overs. Seeing his back will please England.
Colin de Grandhomme is the next batsman in.
13.4W
Adil Rashid to Martin Guptill. OUT! Guptill is gone! Soft dismissal in a way, the look on the big man's face shows it. He takes this on the full and looks to paddle it past short fine leg. But it's straight to Plunkett who takes a simple catch. Either side of him and that's a boundary. Guptill walks back, but he's played a good knock here.

He hits them with so much power, incredible strength.
10.46
Adil Rashid to Martin Guptill. SIX! 13th T20I fifty for Martin Guptill! And what a way to bring it up. He looks to get off the mark with a quick run but would have been cursing himself if Mark had hit the mark. Wood gets to his right and misses his shy at the non-striker's end. That pitched outside leg. Also, a wild shy was had at the non-striker's end.
1.14
Mark Wood to Colin Munro. FOUR! Awww! Timing. That's all the shot has. Wood begins with a full length delivery around off and middle, Munro just times his push down the ground. The ball rolls towards the fence, teases Vince, who chased it from mid off and just trickled away to the fence. James seemed to have held his hamstring as he just rushed to the fence, though he is good to continue.

ENGLAND Playing XI - Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, James Vince, Jos Buttler (wk/c), Sam Billings, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Chris Jordan, Mark Wood
NEW ZEALAND Playing XI - Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson (c), Mark Chapman, Ross Taylor, Tim Seifert (wk), Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Trent Boult
TEAM NEWS - For New Zealand, a couple of changes from their last game. The two Toms - Bruce and Blundell make way for a pair of newcomers. An international debut for Tim Seifert, who will don the gloves for them and Mark Chapman, having represented Hong Kong in international cricket, will turn out with the black outfit today for the first time. England have made a couple of changes as well. One Liam replaces the other - Plunkett, having recovered from his hamstring injury, comes in for Dawson, while Mark Wood replaces Tom Curran in the side, that is continued to led by Jos Buttler in Eoin Morgan's absence.
TOSS - Jos Buttler calls it right at the toss and ENGLAND WILL BOWL FIRST. Expected call? Maybe, with the smaller dimension of ground here.
England have been riddled with some problems of their own, after displaying fearless cricket in the ODIs. Eoin Morgan's groin injury kept him out of the previous game and even today, he's unlikely to take part. Jos Buttler will continue to deputise. It will be interesting to see the changes in his side. For the Black Caps, Mark Chapman and Tim Seifert are expected to make their Kiwi debuts. We'll get to know about it soon, as we hear Kane Williamson is good enough to play and lead the side. We shall get you the toss and the teams in a bit.
The Kiwi leg of the T20I tri-series between Australia-England-New Zealand gets underway with the hosts clashing with the Englishmen. Both these sides are yet to get going on the points table and hence would be competing to get the first number there. We are glad to have your company for this clash and would love you to hang out with us till the end. The weather is expected to be clear, as per the forecasts and that should keep you interested in the bat-ball proceedings.
End of Over : 20.0ENG: 184/9
That brings us to the close of this slam-bang game. England hang in the series just mathematically. Their hopes lie on the Aussies defeating the Kiwis with a good margin and then they themselves returning the hosts the favour to go through. A lot of ifs and buts are involved there. For now, we have the Trans-Tasman battle as the next one. That game starts at 1900 local time (0600 GMT) a couple of days after Valentine's Day. Hope to catch you for that game. Till then, ta ta, take care! Meanwhile, you can catch all the action of the 5th ODI between South Africa and India by switching tabs.
Jos Buttler, the losing skipper laments that they leaked 10-15 runs too many with the ball. Admits to his bowlers being largely awry yet dragging it back towards the end. Says that when Alex Hales looks good like he did at the start, the fielders don't matter and at that stage they looked good to go. About hoping for Australia to beat New Zealand for England to qualify, he states that they won't wish for anything and just let things take their own course.
The Player of the Match award is given to Kane Williamson. The New Zealand captain says that it feels good to do well against an English side that has been a force to reckon with in limited overs cricket of late. Admits to having no great clue about the ideal score on this wicket and the start provided by his batters augured well for them. About his own form, he reckons that he was a knock away from getting back among the runs and he always looked to give it his all. Iterates that the conditions were tough for fielding yet his side did well to come out on the right side of the result.
Alex Hales began well in the pursuit of the tall target. He was timing the ball crisply and bashing it brilliantly till the time he was sent back. Dawid Malan was the only other English batter who looked like posing a fight. The duo's association of 65 runs gave their side a realistic chance of gunning the score down. But then, the others failed to turn up and that turned out to be their undoing. Not sure if this is yet another batting failure for them or a bowling failure this time. Mind you, this result does hide the fact that the evening saw many catches being dropped by the Kiwis. Fortunately for them, it didn't cost them the game. Mitchell Santner was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts, varying his flight and pace, in course of picking up a couple of wickets. Their bowling attack never let the tourists off the hook in the run chase. Let's wait to hear what the presentation has for us.
Pretty one-way traffic in the end. England have been steamrolled yet again in this tri-series. In the previous games, the talks revolved around their bowling not getting a chance to come good due to their batting failures. But here, when they did bowl first, they failed to exhibit much control, so much so that they ended up conceding a mountain full of runs. That proved a bit too much in the end for their batters, who yet again fell short.

Tim Southee to Adil Rashid. CURTAINS FOR WILLEY! Yorker on the stumps, Rashid digs it out. The ball rolls towards the keeper, who takes down the stumps at his end with a dive as Willey tries to get in with a dive of his own. Both the Tims seem pretty confident as the umpire takes it upstairs. First look by the TV umpire confirms the first line.

Trent Boult to Chris Jordan. FOUR! Swat! Banged short around middle and leg, Jordan hangs back and flat-bats it through square leg for a quadruple.
17.31

17.12
Trent Boult to Chris Jordan. Fuller in length, Jordan misses the flick. The ball goes past the leg stick and Seifert behind fails to collect that. Two byes.

End of Over : 1711 RunsENG: 160/6
16.61
Mitchell Santner to Chris Jordan. Another skier goes down! Jordan launches it high into the night sky, there's enough time for Southee to settle under it and pouch it at the deep mid-wicket fence. Yet he fails to hang onto that and offers Chris a reprieve. A run taken.

16.3W

16.26
Mitchell Santner to Dawid Malan. SIX! Kabooom! Malan gets to the pitch of the ball and blasts it over the deep mid-wicket fence for half a dozen.
16.2wd
Mitchell Santner to Dawid Malan. WIDE! The ball is too wide on the off side for the batsman to make any contact. The umpire has signalled a wide.
16.12
Mitchell Santner to Dawid Malan. Fired on the pads, Malan gets it off the inner half towards fine leg for a couple.
End of Over : 1618 RunsENG: 149/5
15.66
Ish Sodhi to David Willey. DROPPED and SIX! Santner the criminal! Googly outside off, not sure Willey picked that up. Slogs it towards wide long on where Santner is stationed. David Willey makes his way out to the center.
14.5W
Mitchell Santner to Sam Billings. OUT! Four flushed! That's what spin bowling is all about. At a time when batters would be expected to come at you, as a spinner, one would expect you to dart the deliveries quicker. But Santner is brave to flight it up generously. The line is outside off, forcing Billings to reach for it in order to sweep it. Sam does just that and gets a top edge towards short fine leg. Sodhi runs to his right and takes it with a dive forward. 68 off 31 needed for England.
14.42
Mitchell Santner to Sam Billings. Santner sees Billings come down the track and fires this flatter. Sam adjusts his shot and slaps it through covers for a brace.

End of Over : 1212 RunsENG: 109/4
11.6W
Ish Sodhi to Jos Buttler. Goes the distance? NO! Jos Buttler is OUT of here! Nicely tossed up around off and middle, he charges down the track, gets to the pitch and belts it over mid off. Seems to have made a decent contact and we were admiring the not-yet-confirmed biggie. But lo! The ball fails to clear the ropes, enabling Southee to pouch that with ease. Mind you, this wasn't an easy catch. Perhaps the wind made the ball stay in rather than going over. The reason being, Southee first took a couple of steps back, anticipating the ball to either clear him or catch it at the end of the ropes but then had to come in a couple of steps and take that. Brilliant take.
11.51
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. The batsman rocks onto the back foot and punches the ball. They pick up a single.
11.44
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Innovation at its best. Malan anticipates that he won't have a floated delivery after the previous ball. Gets a flatter one on a shorter length outside off, he gets down and reverse sweeps it over backward point for another boundary.

Colin de Grandhomme to Jos Buttler. Jos gets off the mark with a cover drive.
10.51
Colin de Grandhomme to Dawid Malan. Outside off, pushed through point for one.
Jos Buttler walks in next. Needs more than a skipper's knock here.
10.4W
Colin de Grandhomme to James Vince. OUT! Direct hits more often than not prove fatal and this one too, does the same. Vince's first outing in Australia ended in a run out and so does his first in New Zealand. He pushes this towards mid off and looks to pinch a run. Is a touch lazy in making it in. Williamson from extra cover cuts it off and nails down the stumps at the bowler's end. It is taken upstairs but that's just the formality. The replay finds James well short and that's that. The visitors are still 102 away.
Gone? Should be! James Vince and run out. Familiar words? Direct hit at the bowler's end is referred upstairs. The first four-letter word in this insert should stand true...
10.31
Colin de Grandhomme to Dawid Malan. Played to the point region by the batsman. The batsmen have run through for a single.
10.24
Colin de Grandhomme to Dawid Malan. DROPPED and FOUR! The first description is a harsh one but that's the truth. Malan lofts it over covers and thinks it to be a safe boundary. But Santner rushes to his right from long off. He flings himself with his arms outstretched and just manages to get a hand to it. That's all he can manage as the ball slips in to the fence post that. Would have been a screamer.
10.10
Colin de Grandhomme to Dawid Malan. The batsman has been hit on the glove or forearm.
Colin de Grandhomme is brought into the attack.
End of Over : 108 RunsENG: 90/2

9.31
Colin Munro to James Vince. This one is pulled through square leg for one.
9.26
Colin Munro to James Vince. SIX! Sweet! Fuller in length outside off, perhaps the knuckle ball. Vince picks it up early and just chips it up over wide mid on. The timing is such that the ball sails over the fence.
9.10
Colin Munro to James Vince. Full outside off, Vince misses his sweep.
End of Over : 98 RunsENG: 82/2

Ish Sodhi to James Vince. Fuller on the stumps, pushed back to the bowler.
James Vince walks out next.
8.3W
Ish Sodhi to Alex Hales. OUT! ALEX HALES IS GONE! This is a huge wicket for New Zealand. Hales was looking good out there and he's walking back rather cheaply. His expression describes it all, disgusted with himself. Half tracker on middle, Hales pulls it straight to Colin de Grandhomme at deep mid-wicket. Simplest of catches for him, sends Alex back just short of a fifty.
8.21
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. Floated on the stumps and it's swept through backward square leg for one run.
8.14
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Premeditated shot and it's paid dividends. Dawid Malan kneels down to play the reverse sweep and places it in the gap between backward point and short third man. Boundary!
End of Over : 83 RunsENG: 74/1
7.61
Colin Munro to Dawid Malan. This is what Williamson wanted. A tight over and he's got that. Just 3 off it. It's tucked to fine leg for a run.
7.50
Colin Munro to Dawid Malan. Malan has missed out. He knows that. Juicy full toss outside off, Malan makes room and smacks this hard, only to find the man at extra cover. Either side of the fielder and that was away.
7.41
Colin Munro to Alex Hales. Fraction straight in line, it's worked through mid-wicket for a single.
7.30
Colin Munro to Alex Hales. Slower in pace, Hales picks it up and hits it to the covers. But straight to the fielder again.

6.50
Ish Sodhi to Alex Hales. Spinning away from around off, Hales plays and misses.
6.41

6.34
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Short ball outside off, Malan stays deep inside his crease and slaps it through the covers for a boundary. The 50-partnership is up too.
6.20
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. Wrong 'un from Sodhi and it's turned a long way. Landed short around off, Malan doesn't pick it up as he reaches out to make connection.
6.10
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. Tossed up leg break around off, Malan is well forward in defense.
Ish Sodhi is brought into the attack. His spell will be crucial in how this innings shapes out.
End of Over : 69 RunsENG: 60/1
5.63
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Streaky but England will take it. Slower one, takes the inside edge of Dawid Malan's bat and goes towards fine leg. Boult chases it down and keeps the batsmen to three run. 60/1 at the end of the Powerplay for England, this is a good start for them.
5.54
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Finally makes some sweet connection! Southee continues with the short stuff and Malan powers it with a pull over mid-wicket, beating the man in the deep.
5.41
Tim Southee to Alex Hales. Takes some of the pace off this as it's landed on a length on middle and leg, Hales works it behind square leg for a single.
5.31
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Short again, pulled over mid-wicket for just a single.
5.20
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Another mistimed pull from Malan, on the bounce towards mid on. The surface is a bit sticky from the looks of things, which is making it difficult for the southpaw to connect cleanly.
5.10
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Just behind a length, quite close to off, Malan mistimes his pull towards mid on.
Tim Southee returns.
End of Over : 520 RunsENG: 51/1

4.56
Trent Boult to Alex Hales. SIX! BANG! Hales taking the attack to Boult here. Back of a length and it's pulled with aplomb over mid-wicket for a flat biggie. Went like a rocket, that.
4.44
Trent Boult to Alex Hales. FOUR! That is an excellent shot. Clever stuff from Alex Hales. Picked his spot and executed his spot to perfection. Quite full on off, Hales gets low and squeezes it between point and backward point to send it all the way for a boundary.
4.30
Trent Boult to Alex Hales. Length ball hurled outside off, Hales looks to muscle this, pulls it down the ground but straight to Southee on the bounce.

Trent Boult is back on.
End of Over : 48 RunsENG: 31/1
3.60
Mitchell Santner to Dawid Malan. Shout for a leg before! But nothing from the umpire. Maybe a slight inside edge? Pitching outside leg maybe? Full on the stumps, Malan kneels and misses the sweep.

2.41
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Wrists this away into the gap on the leg side for a single.
2.30
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Wonderful fielding effort from Colin de Grandhomme. Malan nicely leans into cover drive and looks to pierce the gap, but the all-rounder dives quickly to his left to make the stop.
2.20
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Was there an edge? Seems not, but there was some sound. Not sure of what. Short of a good length zipping off the deck outside off, Dawid Malan looks to fiercely cut this through point but is beaten.
Dawid Malan walks in at No.3.
2.1W
Tim Southee to Jason Roy. OUT! Another failure for the usually dangerous Jason Roy! Just back of a length on off, some movement away and that probably does Roy in. Looks to clear mid on from within his crease but doesn't time it well at all. Towards Trent Boult who moves to his right and takes a simple catch. Early strike for New Zealand, exactly what they would have wanted.
Tim Southee to have a bowl now.
End of Over : 26 RunsENG: 14/0

New Zealand vs England Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - T20 Commentary
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. Dot ball. Much-needed for England and Jordan. Cutting back in from middle, Seifert swings across the line after clearing his front leg but the ball goes right through the gap.
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. SIX! Back-to-back biggies from Seifert! Full again from Jordan, right in the slot, Tim connects from the middle of the bat as he hammers it over wide long off for half a dozen.
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. SIX! Useful runs for the Black Caps. Tim Seifert making his short stay count. Full and outside off, he swings hard and lifts it nicely over the cover fence for a flat biggie.
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. Full toss outside the line of off stump, off the outer half through point for a couple of runs.
Chris Jordan to Tim Seifert. Full and outside off, play and a miss from Tim Seifert.
Tim Seifert, the debutant, makes his way into the middle.
Mark Wood to Mark Chapman. Wide! Wide down the leg side, No trouble at all for the batsman. The umpire has signalled a wide.

Vince out in the deep first puts in the dive, parries it towards Billings who's there to assist him, he too though has some work to do and he puts in another dive. Keeps it just inside the rope and keeps the batsmen to just three. Replays confirm that, well done.

He looks to get off the mark with a quick run but would have been cursing himself if Mark had hit the mark. Wood gets to his right and misses his shy at the non-striker's end. That pitched outside leg. Also, a wild shy was had at the non-striker's end.
Mark Wood to Colin Munro. FOUR! Awww! Timing. That's all the shot has. Wood begins with a full length delivery around off and middle, Munro just times his push down the ground.

Mitchell Santner to Dawid Malan. Fired on the pads, Malan gets it off the inner half towards fine leg for a couple.
Ish Sodhi to David Willey. DROPPED and SIX! Santner the criminal! Googly outside off, not sure Willey picked that up. Slogs it towards wide long on where Santner is stationed. He times his jump to perfection yet fails to latch onto that. The ball ricochets off his hands and goes over the fence. Costly miss?

Ish Sodhi to David Willey. SAFE! Willey pushes it towards mid off and sets off for a single. Williamson fires a direct hit at the bowler's end. The ball deflects towards long on and another one is taken. The TV umpire is referred to and he confirms in the first look that the batter is safe.

David Willey makes his way out to the center.
Mitchell Santner to Sam Billings. Santner sees Billings come down the track and fires this flatter. Sam adjusts his shot and slaps it through covers for a brace.

Tim Southee to Sam Billings. Back of a length ball on the stumps, Sam goes back to steer it to third man. Manages an inside edge onto the pads to the off side for one.
Tim Southee to Sam Billings. FOUR! Shot! You can have as many men as you want in the deep, yet I will find the gap, says Billings. This is short in length, Billings nails the pull through backward square leg. Finds the gap to bring down the required runs to 73 off 37 balls.
Another man goes deep in the leg side.

Sam Billings comes in next, with his side needing 88 more off 8 overs.
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. The batsman rocks onto the back foot and punches the ball. They pick up a single.
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Innovation at its best. Malan anticipates that he won't have a floated delivery after the previous ball. Gets a flatter one on a shorter length outside off, he gets down and reverse sweeps it over backward point for another boundary.
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. SIX! BOOM! Bashed with disdain. Floated on middle, Malan gets down and slog sweeps it over deep mid-wicket for a mighty hit.

Jos Buttler walks in next. Needs more than a skipper's knock here.
Colin de Grandhomme to Dawid Malan. Played to the point region by the batsman. The batsmen have run through for a single.
Colin de Grandhomme to Dawid Malan. The batsman has been hit on the glove or forearm.
Colin de Grandhomme is brought into the attack.
Colin Munro to Dawid Malan. Length ball outside off, Malan looks to force it through the off side. Gets it past the off stump from an inside edge towards short fine leg for one.

Ish Sodhi to James Vince. Fuller on the stumps, pushed back to the bowler.
James Vince walks out next.

Ish Sodhi to Alex Hales. Spinning away from around off, Hales plays and misses.
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. Where is the slip, Kane Williamson? That would have been out had there been one. Easy. Tossed up, Malan closes the face a bit too early and gets an edge which goes through the vacant slip cordon. Single taken.
Ish Sodhi to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Short ball outside off, Malan stays deep inside his crease and slaps it through the covers for a boundary. The 50-partnership is up too.

Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. FOUR! Finally makes some sweet connection! Southee continues with the short stuff and Malan powers it with a pull over mid-wicket, beating the man in the deep.
Tim Southee to Alex Hales. Takes some of the pace off this as it's landed on a length on middle and leg, Hales works it behind square leg for a single.
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Short again, pulled over mid-wicket for just a single.
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Another mistimed pull from Malan, on the bounce towards mid on. The surface is a bit sticky from the looks of things, which is making it difficult for the southpaw to connect cleanly.
Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Just behind a length, quite close to off, Malan mistimes his pull towards mid on.
Tim Southee returns.
Trent Boult to Alex Hales. FOUR! Hasn't exactly middled it, but it's runs all the same. 20 off the over as Alex Hales slices it over backward point for a boundary.
Trent Boult to Alex Hales. SIX! BANG! Hales taking the attack to Boult here. Back of a length and it's pulled with aplomb over mid-wicket for a flat biggie. Went like a rocket, that.
Trent Boult to Alex Hales. FOUR! That is an excellent shot. Clever stuff from Alex Hales. Picked his spot and executed his spot to perfection. Quite full on off, Hales gets low and squeezes it between point and backward point to send it all the way for a boundary.

Tim Southee to Dawid Malan. Was there an edge? Seems not, but there was some sound. Not sure of what. Short of a good length zipping off the deck outside off, Dawid Malan looks to fiercely cut this through point but is beaten.
Dawid Malan walks in at No.3.
