South Africa tour of India 2020

From Mar 12, 2020 to Mar 18, 2020
Summary

South Africa travels to India for a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, beginning March 12, 2020. Last year in September-October, India hosted South Africa for T20I and Test series. And now, it is time for the 50-overs cricket. After the three-match ODI series, Indian players and some of the South African cricketers will take part in the Indian Premier League season 13, also known as IPL 2020.

Some of the star Indian players including Virat Kohli, are expected to be rested for the three-match series against South Africa. And, chances are we could see injured players like Shikhar Dhawan and all-rounder Hardik Pandya back in action. Indian Selectors can possibly include new faces as well.

South Africa, on the other hand, have announced their squad which sees the return of former captain Faf du Plessis. Wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock will lead the Proteas.

India comes into the series having toured New Zealand recently. After handing hosts 5-0 whitewash in the T20Is, India suffered a clean sweep in three-match ODI and two-match ODI series. On the other hand, Proteas hosted Australia prior to this series.
