Australia entertains arch rivals South Africa for the ODI series starting from November 4. Aussies have lost nine of their last ten ODI's but play in the favourable conditions which could prove handy.
Australia are coming off from a disastrous tour of UAE where they were whitewashed by Pakistan. Australia's batting will rely on Aaron Finch, Chris Lynn, Travis Head and Shaun Marsh while the return of Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins will form make for a formidable bowling combination along with Mitchell Starc.
South Africa have a top-heavy batting order with all of their best batsmen in Aiden Markram, Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis batting in the top four. Their pace bowling trio of Kagiso Rabada, Dale Steyn and Lungi Ngidi would try to match up with the Aussie seamers. However, spinner Imran Tahir is certainly expected to outperform Adam Zampa. But, The absence of Hashim Amla and JP Duminy, both sitting out due to injury, could hurt them.
Australia vs South Africa will be played on November 4 at Perth Stadium, Perth. The match will start at 8:50 AM IST.

Australia vs South Africa Highlights And Cricket Score 1st Match - ODI Summary
So that is it from this game. The South Africans have cruised to victory and taken a 1-0 lead. They now have a chance to seal the series in the next game which will be played on the 9th of November at 1.50 PM local (3.20 AM GMT). However for now, you can switch tabs and watch the Test match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Take care and cheers.
DALE STEYN HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. Is first of all, relieved that he has been able to finish a match in Australia without breaking down. Says that the bowlers were excited to get the first use of the wicket and even though there were runs to be scored on this pitch, if the balls were pitched in the right areas, you could get wickets. Does not believe that the wickets he got were his best balls and notes that Head and Short played straight and hence got out. Observes that Carey played square, hence got the runs. So that was the small difference. Is happy to keep the Australian batsmen quiet as he reckons that they are bullies in domestic cricket. On the camaraderie with his bowling mates, Steyn says that he always challenges them to try and take the next wicket first.
Victorious South African skipper Faf du Plessis is very happy with the team's display. Is even happier to have Dale Steyn back but is proud of the way all his three seamers bowled. On Hendricks' batting, Faf says that on surfaces like these, where the bounce is tricky, he batted like an experienced individual. Is happy to have taken a couple of good catches. On the overall display, he feels that towards the end, the Proteas let it slip a bit, as they could have won by 8 wickets but will take the win.
Australian captain, Aaron Finch admits that he is disappointed as the team did not play anywhere near its potential. Praises the South African bowling for putting the Aussies on the back foot early. On the message to his team, Aaron says that the loss is a great opportunity to learn and all they can do now is train harder, do the basics, pay a little bit of more attention to detail and come back fresh for the second ODI in Adelaide. Is harsh on his bowlers, clearly not happy with the way they gave away free runs. Dodges the question of not opening with Mitchell Starc. Hopes to come back hard in the next game.
Marcus Stoinis who is now giving for interview, says today was disappointing. Adds further they still have two games left and will look to bounce back. Reckons the wicket was a tough one to bat on. He believes the whole team together is responsible for this loss. He feels good to take the wickets he did. Ends by saying the coach will have a chat with the team and they hope to recover and come out fighting in the next game.
Quinton de Kock who is up for an interview, says the start with the ball and the bat was very crucial. Mentions he is disappointed with how he got out as he feels he could have been there till the end. Reckons Australia will surely come out fighting in the next game and they can't be taken lightly. Credits the way Rabada bowled.
Defending a paltry total, Australia needed wickets early but that was not the case. Their bowlers could not repeat the heroics of their opposition bowlers. They bowled well in patches but there were quite a few poor deliveries too. Pat Cummins did impress but he was unlucky. Stoinis had a three-fer to his name but by then, the game was probably done and dusted.
South Africa's batsman also did not disappoint as their openers did the bulk of the scoring. The two will be disappointed to miss out on half tons but their 94-run stand more-or-less sealed the deal. They did lose a couple of quick wickets in the end but by that time, it was probably too late.
How easy was that for South Africa? They have chased this total down with ease. They looked like they were batting on completely different strip to that of the Australians. After bundling the hosts out for a very low total, with every bowler except for Rabada taking wickets. Steyn set the tone at the start and they never let the momentum slip after that. Andile Phehlukwayo was the one with the most wickets to his name as he finished with three. The rest, including, Rabada were equally impressive. It is them who set this up for their batters.
Marcus Stoinis to David Miller. That is it! Miller finishes it off on his very first ball. Gets a gift to do so, on the pads, Miller flicks it through square leg and takes two. Customary handshakes taking place as SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 6 WICKETS!
Marcus Stoinis to Heinrich Klaasen. OUT! There goes another one! It though won't make a difference in the context of the game. But delight for Stoinis as he gets his third. Klaasen goes for the drive on the up, the ball takes the outside edge and goes towards Finch at first slip. He takes a very good catch.
Mitchell Starc to Heinrich Klaasen. Fuller around off, Klaasen guides it down to third man for another single. 2 needed.
Mitchell Starc to Faf du Plessis. Another three! Short and outside off, Faf cuts it through point and the batsmen run three.
Mitchell Starc to Faf du Plessis. On the middle stump, Faf tucks it towards mid-wicket.
Mitchell Starc to Faf du Plessis. Fullish on off, Faf strokes it towards mid off.
Mitchell Starc to Faf du Plessis. Good length again outside off, left alone.
Mitchell Starc to Faf du Plessis. A biggie away now! Driven on the up through covers for a couple.
Marcus Stoinis to Heinrich Klaasen. The batsman has driven it through mid on.
Marcus Stoinis to Faf du Plessis. Back of a length on off, Faf pushes it through covers for a run. Two boundaries away now.
Marcus Stoinis to Heinrich Klaasen. Good bumper but Klaasen plays it well as he guides it down to third man.
Marcus Stoinis to Heinrich Klaasen. Fullsih around off, the batsman drives it to point.
Marcus Stoinis to Aiden Markram. OUT! Drags it on! Markram does not stay there till the end. Stoinis gets his second. A poor shot. It was bowled short and wide outside off. Markram goes for the cut, way away from his body. Also no foot movement on that one. It takes the inside edge and it clips the leg pole.
