Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Highlights And Cricket Score 1st Match - ODI Summary

End of Over : 35.0 ZIM: 107/10

That is it from our side for this match. Pakistan won this series opener dominating every aspect, leaving Zimbabwe with much to work on. We will get back once again at 0715 GMT (0915 local) on Monday for the second ODI at Queen Sports Club, Bulawayo. Meanwhile, the cricketing action continues around the world. You can catch the live action in a short while between Windies and Bangladesh just by switching tabs. Till then, ciao!

Pakistan captain, Sarfraz Ahmed, starts by saying that he is happy the way the batters batted initially. Asserts that they could have got a few more in the end but he is happy with the way things turned out to be. Praises his team for a clinical performance and he is looking to achieve bigger things with this team.

Man of the Match, Imam-ul-Haq, is elated by his performance. He says that he wanted to come back nicely after the previous tour in New Zealand. Credits the management for creating an atmosphere for the youngsters where they feel like performing for the team. Further adds that when he and Fakhar Zaman got set, they looked to carry on for as long as possible. Ends by saying that they will look to keep the momentum going in the next matches as well.

Alistair Campbell conducts the post-match presentation. He talks with the Zimbabwe captain, Hamilton Masakadza, who starts by saying that they started nicely but lost the way in the middle. He asserts that Bulawayo is a nice place to play cricket as shown by Liam Murray who made a good case for himself. He ends by saying that they have a lot to work on before the next match and will look to get better.

Imam-ul-Haq - 113, Zimbabwe - 107. That should tell more than the story. Chasing 309 was never going to be easy and Zimbabwe didn't help themselves much either. They lost wickets at regular intervals and never got a foothold in the game. Murray was the top scorer with 32 but none of the other batters made an attempt to stay in the middle. Hence, the hosts came no where close to the target and were bowled out in just 35 overs.

Pleasure for Pakistan as they have steam rolled Zimbabwe here. Shinwari started the proceedings as he rattled the top order, not allowing Zimbabwe any head-start. Shadab then ran through the lower order picking up four wickets. Everyone except Shoaib Mailk got their name on the wicket list to complete an all-round performance from the visitors and go one up in the series.
