Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - ODI Commentary

2nd Inn
End of Over : 50.0PAK: 399/1
Now. The bowling. I guess one way of looking at this is Tendai Chisoro - when the opposition's run rate has nearly touched 8, he has gone at less than 6 an over - 0/56 in his 10 overs. The others were pummeled any which ways but did succeed in bowling a couple of decent overs in Powerplay 3. If 67 all out on Wednesday was not demoralizing enough, then don't know what will a target of 400 do today. Join us back at 1330 local (1130 GMT) for the second innings.
A word for Asif Ali as well. He came in, just strut his stuff, smashing 50 from 22 balls but yet went unknown because the focus was mainly on Fakhar's 200 and Pakistan's 400. If the openers added 304 in 252 balls, Zaman and Asif added an unbeaten 95 in just 48 balls for the second wicket.
Spectacular batting cannot be said from Pakistan but when both openers get to triple figures, we cannot avoid that term. This is just the 7TH INSTANCE of a Pakistani opening pair scoring tons in ODI cricket, with the last instance being that of Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed against India in Dhaka, in 2012. They were given a few chances and well, they made the most use of it. Interestingly, Zaman was on 0 when Imam was on 18, yet overtook him and played all the 50 overs.
A day for milestones. First the Pakistan openers putting on the first ever triple century opening stand in ODIs. Then Fakhar Zaman going on to register the first double ton by a Pakistan batsman. The tourists would have registered their first ever score of 400 as well but fell short - thanks to a wonderful death bowling effort from Donald Tiripano.
49.61
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. PAKISTAN DO NOT REACH 400! A moral victory for the fielding side. Another wonderful delivery, a yorker, on middle, Zaman can only dig it out towards the bowler. But a misfield results in a single and the Asian side finishes on 399/1!
49.51
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. A yorker now, dug out to long off for a run. That is a 22-BALL 50 FOR ASIF, something to take note for the future...
49.46
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. SIX! SLAM! On next to no time, this guy has come and with the spotlight on Fakhar Zaman reaching his double ton, smashed a run short of 50 in just 21 balls. A bad ball of course, a high full toss, Asif swings it into oblivion over mid-wicket!
49.31
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. Full and outside off, driven through the covers for one.
49.21
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. Full and outside off, another yorker-type delivery, pushed towards long off for a run.
49.11
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. A good start to the over. Very full outside off, driven towards cover. There is a good throw to the bowler who disturbs the stumps and it is referred upstairs - but replays confirm that Zaman is in. A single taken.
Who will bowl the last over? Can he restrict Pakistan to 399 or less? Donald Tiripano will be the brave guy...
End of Over : 4913 RunsPAK: 388/1
48.64
Blessing Muzarabani to Asif Ali. FOUR! Excellent, simply excellent. Tell you why. The ball is not a bad one at all - a very full ball, almost a yorker, but Asif calmly gets across, comes a touch forward, then takes it on the full and eventually paddles it between short fine lag and backward square leg for a boundary! THIS IS NOW PAKISTAN'S HIGHEST ODI TOTAL - bettering their 385/7 against Bangladesh in Dambulla in 2010.
48.51
Blessing Muzarabani to Fakhar Zaman. A full toss, bunted down to long on for a run.

47.56
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. SIX! Unbelievable shot! Tell you, this guy... ohh... absolutely lovely to see charismatic batting in a bash-bash bang-bang game. Full and outside off, Ali backs away a touch and simply carves it over cover!

47.4wd
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. WIDE. Miles outside off, left alone.
47.32
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. TOP EDGE, SAFE! When it goes bad for you, it keeps going bad for you. A slower ball outside off, Asif is early into his slog and gets a top edge which goes high in the air. But such is his luck that three men converge - mid-wicket, cover and long off - yet the ball lands in between! Two runs taken. A nice lesson to all those studying geometry - how to trisect angles.
47.24
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. FOUR! BEAUTY! Very nicely done. A full toss outside off, Asif gets across and just gives direction to the ball to reach the fence. Makes a paddle and directs it to the fine leg fence - perfectly bisecting short fine leg and backward square leg. Just get the feeling that Pakistan have discovered a wonderful talent in Asif Ali - in terms of technique and power.
47.11
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. Full and around off, pushed down to long off for a single.
47.1wd
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. WIDE. Full and well outside off, Zaman lets it go.

46.61
Blessing Muzarabani to Fakhar Zaman. Full and around off, pushed down to long on for a run.
46.54
Blessing Muzarabani to Fakhar Zaman. FOUR! MAIDEN DOUBLE HUNDRED FOR ZAMAN! He has finally done it. After 16 ODI innings, he has finally managed to reach that landmark. Full and wide outside off, Zaman does not go leg side this time - rather stays put and lofts it over cover for a boundary. Takes his helmet off, does the sajda and then embraces his partner. The Pakistan dressing room is all smiles. Finally, after 21 years, Saeed Anwar's long-standing record of 194 is broken. He achieved that feat against India in 1997.
46.40
Blessing Muzarabani to Fakhar Zaman. A yorker on middle, dug out back to the bowler.
46.31
Blessing Muzarabani to Asif Ali. What a lovely shot this is. This match has all been about ugly heaves and hence it feels nice if a classical shot is played. Full and outside off, AA carves this beautifully over cover for a single.

45.30
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. The batsman was beaten and missed the line of the delivery.
45.24
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. FOUR! PLUNDERED! No one in the deep on the leg side and Fakhar takes full toll. Moves to within a hit of reaching that elusive double ton. Walks across his stumps, takes another full toss and smears it over mid-wicket for another boundary. Moves to 196 and this is now the HIGHEST INDIVIDUAL ODI SCORE BY A PAKISTAN BATSMAN.
45.14
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. MISFIELD, FOUR! Oh dear... it goes from bad to worse to worst to I don't know what for Zimbabwe. Full and wide outside off, Zaman reaches out and squeezes it towards point. Two men converge - Chigumbura from sweeper and a fielder from third man - the former gets to the ball first but misses to pick it. The ball hits his left leg and deflects past the backing up fielder to the ropes! Zaman into the 190s now!
Who is in to face the music? Wellington Masakadza has bowled out. One of the 'better' death bowlers for Zimbabwe - Donald Tiripano to bowl.
End of Over : 4511 RunsPAK: 338/1
44.62

43.6wd
Wellington Masakadza to Asif Ali. ANOTHER WIDE. Action replay of the previous delivery.
43.6wd

End of Over : 4310 RunsPAK: 314/1

42.14
Richard Ngarava to Asif Ali. FOUR! 'That is the way Asif got off the mark in T20Is as well' comments Ramiz Raja on air. Full and wide outside off, Ali throws his bat at it and gets a thick outside edge which flies through the vacant slip cordon to the third man fence.
Asif Ali is the new man in at number 3, replacing Imam.
End of Over : 4210 RunsPAK: 304/1
41.6W
Wellington Masakadza to Imam-ul-Haq. OUT! In the sky and taken by Tarisai! Wow. Stop the press. Zimbabwe have got a wicket. They have taken a catch. Off the innumerable drag sweeps, finally one has gone to hand. It always was on the cards, only being a matter of when the visiting side picked it. Imam slogged this one high in the air, towards mid-wicket in the deep but could not quite get the distance. Musakanda had to move just slightly to his left and pouched the catch safely. Good sportsmanship from the Zimbabwe fielders as they go across to Imam to congratulate him. What an innings - what a stand. 304/1 are Pakistan.
41.51
Wellington Masakadza to Fakhar Zaman. A full toss outside leg, Fakhar looks to paddle but the ball hits the bottom half of the bat and rolls to square leg. A single taken.
41.44
Wellington Masakadza to Fakhar Zaman. FOUR! Ugly heave-ho. Landed on middle and leg, Zaman drags it wide of the man at square leg in the deep for a boundary to raise the 300-RUN OPENING STAND. This is just the fourth instance of a pair registering a triple hundred stand in ODIs.
41.34
Wellington Masakadza to Fakhar Zaman. FOUR BYES! Interesting decision from Ian Gould. Full and outside leg, Zaman tries to play the reverse sweep, then attempts to paddle but misses. The keeper is blinded behind and the ball races away to the fine leg fence.

POWERPLAY 3 TIME. 5 fielders allowed outside the circle. Will it make any difference? How much will Pakistan clobber in these final 10? At least a 110 would be on their minds. A score less than that would be a moral victory for the home side.

Richard Ngarava to Imam-ul-Haq. Three good balls in a row! So this has been a good comeback after going for a boundary on the first ball. On a length and around off, Imam is solid in defense.
1.40
Richard Ngarava to Imam-ul-Haq. Back of a length on off, Imam goes back and keeps it out. Two good balls in a row. This is what he should continuously bowl.
1.30
Richard Ngarava to Imam-ul-Haq. Attacks the line on off, Imam defends it onto the ground.
1.22
Richard Ngarava to Imam-ul-Haq. On the pads this time, Imam works it around the corner and runs two.
1.14
Richard Ngarava to Imam-ul-Haq. FOUR! Not the start Ngarava would have wanted but full marks to Imam! Top shot by him! Slightly short and outside off, not too much width on offer but the amount offered was enough for him. He rocks back and punches it through covers, the timing is such that the ball races away to the fence. First boundary for him.
Richard Ngarava to bowl from the other end with the second new ball.
End of Over : 18 RunsPAK: 8/0
0.61
Blessing Muzarabani to Imam-ul-Haq. A single to end the first over! A good one for the visitors. Down the leg side, tucked around the corner and Imam will retain strike for the next over.
0.50
Blessing Muzarabani to Imam-ul-Haq. A little wide outside off, the batsman need not play at it.
0.44
Blessing Muzarabani to Imam-ul-Haq. FOUR LEG BYES! Another beauty! Full marks to the bowler but it has cost him runs. He lands it on a length around middle, this one pitches and straightens. Imam tries to defend but does not account for the away movement. The ball brushes his pads and then goes towards first slip where Hamilton Masakadza fails to stop it and the ball races to the third man fence.

0.10
Blessing Muzarabani to Imam-ul-Haq. A false start, down the leg side, Imam seems to have missed the flick but strangely the umpire does not signal it a wide. It may have flicked the trouser on the way.
We are all set to begin. The Pakistan openers, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq make their way out to the middle. Blessing Muzarabani will start the proceedings from the City End, this is the first time he will be bowling from that end in the series. Can he price out an early wicket? We will find out as he comes running in to bowl the first ball.
PITCH REPORT - Tino Mawoyo says the pitch looks an absolute belter. Further adds there is a little grass on it but it won't make a difference. Ends by saying these are wonderful batting conditions and runs are on offer.
Hamilton Masakadza says they are hoping for a win in the last two games. Adds further that should be very good for the boys. He feels the boys started well with the ball in the last game and he hopes they can nip out a couple of wickets early.
Sarfraz Ahmed says it looks like a good wicket. Adds further the sun is out and it should be good for batting. Ends by saying he is targeting a big total and hopes their batsmen get good batting practice.
TEAM CHANGES - Pakistan are playing the same team, whereas, Zimbabwe have made two changes. Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, who is making his debut and Donald Tiripano come in for Prince Masvaure and Chamu Chibhabha.
TOSS - Pakistan win the toss and they will be batting first.
For Zimbabwe, it can't get any worse from the last game, right? One would surely say so, but looking at the series, their performance has been on a downward spiral. Let us hope they turn up today and show some fight. Stay tuned for further updates.
The sorry tour for the hosts continues as we welcome you to game 4 between Zimbabwe and Pakistan at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. It is a dead rubber as Pakistan have already sealed the series. However, they would want to win this one as well as they will be looking for a whitewash. Complacency is something Sarfraz will not appreciate in this game and he would hope his side would give it its all. With the series already in the bag, we might see them tinker with their eleven.
End of Over : 42.4ZIM: 155/10
Another one-sided affair ends. Zimbabwe continue to slip downhill, without showing any signs of getting up and putting up a fight. Pakistan, on the other hand, carry on with their dream run. It has been a complete mismatch so far. Things look gloomy for the hosts but they have one more opportunity to prove that they belong at this level. Join us for one final time on this tour on 22nd July at 0915 Local (0715 GMT). Till then, cheers!
Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed says that Zaman and Imam played really well and he enjoyed their strokeplay. Mentions that it is a good thing that the top order is contributing heavily and also appreciates Asif Ali for his big-hitting prowess. States that Chigumbura and Tiripano batted well for Zimbabwe. States that their target was to bowl the opposition out under 160 and they executed their plans too. Ends by saying that they will try their level best to win the next game.
Man of the Match, Fakhar Zaman says that Imam-ul-Haq played really well and he got good support from him. Feels that this was his day and he is happy about scoring a double ton. States that their coach, Mickey Arthur had told before the game that if they win the toss, they will bat. Adds that he wanted him to score a double ton. Mentions that it was a long day for him and he will get some treatment from the physio. Ends by saying that he will not try to give the middle order a chance in the next game and smiles about it.
Zimbabwe skipper, Hamilton Masakadza says that it is not getting any easier for them. Mentions that they were never in the game. Credits Zaman for playing brilliantly and they found it tough to contain him. States that they were outplayed in all the three departments. Admits that a target of 400 is always difficult and they needed to play shots from the word go. Ends by saying that they will try to put in a better performance on Sunday.
After the domination by the Pakistan batsmen, their bowlers stepped up and cornered the Zimbabwean batsmen. It was a clinical bowling show with every bowler putting in their best and Shadab Khan with a 4-wicket haul stood out the most. Apart from the stand between Elton Chigumbura and Donald Tiripano, which in a way only delayed the inevitable, there was no resistance offered. Chasing 400 was never going to be easy and to be honest, no one expected them to do that either. But a little bit of fight would have done their confidence a world of good.
For a change, Pakistan changed the plot of this ODI. They chose to bat first and then posted their highest-ever score in ODIs. We witnessed plenty of records as Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq raised the first-ever 300-plus stand for the opening wicket. The former also broke the 21-year old record by surpassing Saeed Anwar's 194 and becoming the first double centurion for Pakistan in this format.
Zimbabwe humbled again. Zimbabwe embarrassed again. Zimbabwe surrendered again. This has been the story of this bilateral series and the script remains the same. No fight presented by the African minnows. They are making it a habit of getting steamrolled. In a way, Fakhar Zaman alone has beaten Zimbabwe by 55 runs. In complete shambles, Zimbabwe. This is Pakistan's second-biggest victory in ODIs (in terms of runs) and the biggest win ever in Bulawayo.
42.4W

Shadab Khan to Wellington Masakadza. OUT! Trapped in front, no doubt about that. Shadab fetches a wicket by bowling a traditional leg spinning delivery. He drops it on a fuller length around off, Wellington is forward to defend but misses the ball completely. It curls back in a bit to hit him on the pads. Pretty dead in front and Zimbabwe continue with their slide.

Tiripano is squared up in defense and gets a thick outside edge behind. Ahmed is once again late in reacting and it loops off his pads over the first slip fielder. A single taken. The Pakistan skipper is very chirpy behind the stumps, keeping an eye on every fielder and always passing on advice on how to field, where to stand etc. It appears he is not focusing on his own keeping duties much. These things become a habit and can cost a team in high-altitude games.

36.3W
Faheem Ashraf to Elton Chigumbura. OUT! It is Faheem Ashraf who strikes for the second time! Good skills displayed by him to fox the batsman. He steams in from over the wicket and bowls a fullish delivery in the tight off stump corridor. After pitching, the ball skids off the surface and seams in as Chigumbura's bat comes down at an angle, failing to negate the inward shape. The ball goes on to thud into his back pad. That was close.

Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - ODI Commentary
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. A yorker now, dug out to long off for a run. That is a 22-BALL 50 FOR ASIF, something to take note for the future...
Donald Tiripano to Fakhar Zaman. Full and outside off, driven through the covers for one.
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. Full and outside off, another yorker-type delivery, pushed towards long off for a run.
Blessing Muzarabani to Fakhar Zaman. A full toss, bunted down to long on for a run.
Blessing Muzarabani to Asif Ali. Full and outside off, almost a yorker, digs it out towards cover for a single.

Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. The batsman goes after this one but misses the line completely.
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. SIX! Unbelievable shot! Tell you, this guy... ohh... absolutely lovely to see charismatic batting in a bash-bash bang-bang game. Full and outside off, Ali backs away a touch and simply carves it over cover!
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. A yorker outside off, Ali looks to dig it out but misses.
Donald Tiripano to Asif Ali. WIDE. Miles outside off, left alone.

States that their coach, Mickey Arthur had told before the game that if they win the toss, they will bat. Adds that he wanted him to score a double ton.

Shadab Khan to Donald Tiripano. Full floated ball on off, pushed past the left side of the cover fielder for a run.
Shadab Khan to Donald Tiripano. Flighted and on off, turning away, it's played off the back foot to point.

Pakistan appeal in unison and up goes the umpire's finger. The 69-run association has been cut short, the only one for Zimbabwe which looked reliable.
