For Zimbabwe, the overcast conditions helped their fast bowlers to move the ball both ways. However, a wicket evaded them till the 25th over. They kept the run rate under check for the most part but towards the end, they ended up leaking more than they would have liked. Except for Chamu Chibhabha, all the other bowlers added their names to the wickets column. Their fielding and catching looked pretty good as well. This is going to be a challenging chase for the hosts considering the conditions and the sluggish looking pitch, plus their inexperienced batting line-up. Pakistan have done it. They have turned the snail-paced innings into something good at the end. The opening duo of Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq put on 113 runs off 146 balls and put them in a strong position. After the former fell to debutant Liam Roche, Imam strung two 50-run partnerships, first with the comeback man Babar Azam and then Shoaib Malik and got to his second ODI ton. A quickfire 46 off 25 balls from the debutant Asif Ali ensured that the total reached 308.
