Pakistan vs Australia Highlights And Cricket Score 3rd Match - T20I Commentary
Now then, the total is quite similar to the one Australia were chasing in the last two games. It is again not going to be easy. Can they overhaul the total this time or will Pakistan cleansweep them? Join us in a while to find out.
The Australian bowlers started off poorly. They were taken to the cleaners in the Powerplay but after that, managed to dictate terms. They used the slower ones really well which did not let the batsmen score freely. Zampa was the pick of the lot but it was Marsh's over which turned the momentum towards the visitors.
The pressure then got to the openers as Farhan then perished in the search of some quick runs. Azam too departed after getting to his fifty. Malik and Hafeez did build a good stand but once the former fell, the runs dried up. The middle order did not contribute a lot and only 11 came from the last two overs. It was Hafeez' innings that took Pakistan to 150.
Excellent comeback by the Aussies. Pakistan however, have got to a total which has proven to be enough in the last two T20Is. They though looked like they would get at least 20 more as their openers got them off to a wonderful start. Their score read 54 after the Powerplay but then struggled as the ball got a little soft. The spinners managed to apply the breaks in the middle overs.
Andrew Tye to Imad Wasim. Yes, he can! Just a single and 5 from the last over. How good is that? He ends with the slower ball, Imad moves right across and tries to paddle but mistimes it towards short fine leg for a run. PAKISTAN END WITH 150 ON THE BOARD!
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Pakistan again have to be content with a run as Hafeez hits it down to long on. Just 4 from the over so far, can Tye end it well?
Andrew Tye to Imad Wasim. Goes fuller this time on middle, Wasim flicks it through mid-wicket for a run.
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Another slower bouncer, very difficult to hit these off pace deliveries. Hafeez hits it off the toe end to mid-wicket for a run.
Andrew Tye to Imad Wasim. Only a single of the second as Wasim slaps it through covers.
Andrew Tye to Imad Wasim. A dot to start the last! A slower bouncer! Imad comes down the track and goes for the pull but is done in by the pace.
Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. Another brace to end as Hafeez pulls this through backward square leg. A very good 18th over by Marsh. Just 6 runs and 2 wickets from it.
Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. Slower ball on the pads, Hafeez flicks it through backward square leg for a brace.
Imad Wasim walks out now.
Mitchell Marsh to Faheem Ashraf. OUT! In the air... gone! Two in the over for Marsh. What a masterstroke this has turned out to be. He bangs it in short and on middle, Faheem goes for the pull but it takes the top edge towards deep square leg. Tye there runs to his left and takes it on the second attempt. Australia finishing strongly here.
Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. shortish again on middle, hafeez goes for the pull but gets a top edge towards mid-wicket for a run.
It is drizzling! But they are not going as of now.
Faheem Ashraf strides out to the middle.
Mitchell Marsh to Asif Ali. OUT! Asif Ali holes out! A stunning effort by Nathan. The ploy to give Marsh the penultimate over has started off well. It is again the slower ball on middle, Asif tries to clear the long on fence. The timing is not that great. Nathan at long on, judges it really well as he is quite close to the ropes and takes with both hands with a leap. The man who can tonk it long is walking back, without making an impact once again.
Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. Slower ball on the stumps, Hafeez mistimes it towards long on for a run.
Mitchell Marsh to bowl his first and last over. Big risk.
Andrew Tye to Asif Ali. FOUR! Up and over! Third boundary in the over! 13 from it. Poor again by Tye. Not the right line, way outside off with third man up. He carves it over point and the ball races away.
Andrew Tye to Asif Ali. Another slower ball around off, Ali pushes it to covers.
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Eases this through covers for a run.
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. NOT OUT! Missing leg! Did not see that coming. Excellent decision to review. A slower yorker on middle, Hafeez is way too early into his flick. Misses and is hit low on the pads. The players appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Hafeez has a chat with the non-striker and then reviews. Hawk Eye shows it to be going down. Hafeez survives. Pakistan though won't get the leg bye they ran.
Review time! Hafeez has been given LBW. He though ash opted to review. Has to be an inside edge as he seems to be a goner.
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries! He plays the paddle this time and connects well. It goes over short fine leg for a boundary. 8 runs from the first two balls. Can Pakistan make this a big over?
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. FOUR! Once again a boundary to start the over. Not a good delivery with third man up. Width on offer and it is slightly short. Hafeez guides it towards short third man. Not a good effort by Lynn there and it races to the fence.

Adam Zampa to Asif Ali. Flatter and outside off, Ali goes to cut but misses.
Asif Ali walks out to the middle.
Adam Zampa to Shoaib Malik. OUT! Leading edge and taken! Zampa gets his revenge. This is tossed up on middle, it turns away. Malik tries to work it on the leg side against the turn. Not a good idea on a wicket which is turning. It takes the leading edge and goes towards covers where Finch takes an easy catch. A big wicket as Malik can be dangerous towards the end. Australia need to keep taking wickets to restrict Pakistan to below 160.
Adam Zampa to Shoaib Malik. FOUR! Crunched! Malik loves using his feet against spin and he has done it here as well and that too effectively. Takes it on the full and smashes it through covers for a boundary.
Adam Zampa to Mohammad Hafeez. Slower through the air but short. It also sticks in the surface. Hafeez tries to pull but it goes off the toe end towards long on for a run.

Zampa is back.

Nathan Coulter-Nile to Mohammad Hafeez. Hafeez makes room but NCN follows him. He pulls it towards square leg for a run.
Nathan Coulter-Nile to Mohammad Hafeez. Around off, Hafeez guides it to point. A dot.
Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shoaib Malik. Now follows the boundary up with a single as he flicks it through mid-wicket.
Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shoaib Malik. FOUR! Boundary to start the over! Pressure on the bowler now. Slightly short and width on offer outside off, Malik pounces on it and cuts it through point. The third man fielder runs to his right and dives but fails to stop it. Malik now is the second highest run-scorer in T20Is. Goes past McCullum.

Short is back on.
Andrew Tye to Shoaib Malik. Fuller in length and it is the seam-up delivery. Malik eases it down to long on to bring the 100 up. 6 more overs to go and they have 8 wickets in hand. The platform is set for them to step on the gas.
Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. On the shorter side, Hafeez tries to cut but due to the slowness of the wicket, it goes off the under edge and towards third man for a run.

Andrew Tye to Shoaib Malik. Angles this into the batter, Malik works it to mid-wicket.
Shoaib Malik walks out to the middle.
Andrew Tye to Babar Azam. OUT! DRAGS IT ON! Azam departs shortly after getting to his half century. Two quick wickets for Australia and they are back into the game. The slower one does the trick for Tye. It is on the fuller side outside off, Azam goes for a drive away from his body. The ball comes off very slow from the surface. It takes the inside edge and disturbs the furniture behind. Both the set batsmen are back in the hut, just what Australia wanted, two new batsmen and it is not easy to score on a wicket when you have just arrived. They will look to slow down the run rate.
Andrew Tye is back on.
Nathan Lyon to Mohammad Hafeez. FOUR! Lucky! Full and outside off, Hafeez looks to play the reverse sweep but gets a bottom edge. It goes between the keepet's legs and races to the third man fence! Finally a wicket for Lyon - he ends with figures of 4-0-33-1.
Mohammad Hafeez is the new man in.
Nathan Lyon to Sahibzada Farhan. OUT! Dismissed off a full toss! Perhaps he was getting frustrated. Comes down the track and looks to go over the top but finds Andrew Tye to perfection at long off. The fielder perhaps came running in quickly and had to adjust. The 93-run stand is broken.

On his plan, he says that he likes to bowl with the older ball, so that he can size up the situation.
TEAM NEWS - One change for Australia. Nathan Lyon gets a go, in place of the tall Billy Stanlake. For Pakistan, they have left out Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Afridi. In come Sahibzaada Farhan and Usman Khan.
TOSS - Scratch that previous sentence. For the third time in a row, Pakistan will be batting first. This time Sarfraz won the toss.
Batting has been the main issue for the Aussies. They have struggled to score off Imad and when he is out of the attack, they have struggled to score off the seamers too. However, if they get a chance to bat first and get around 130-140, it might still be a handful.
We are all set for the final match of Australia's UAE tour. It has been a forgettable one for the visitors yet again. They started it well, with a fighting draw in the first Test, but then tapered off in the second while the T20Is have not been their piece of cake at all. How will the final one pan out? Remember, Pakistan have already won the series and Australia will be playing for pride. Hello and a warm welcome to the third and final T20I between Pakistan and Australia in Dubai.
That is all we have for you from this match and tour. Australia go home empty handed while Pakistan continue to be consistent. They however, welcome New Zealand in a couple of days in another series while Australia prepare for South Africa. For now, Sarfraz and co. smile and pose for the cameras as they are handed the 'biscuit-trophy'. We hope you enjoyed all the coverage that was brought to you throughout. Continue being with us for other games. Till then, be safe and do good.
Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed, starts by crediting the whole team and reckons they outplayed Australia in the whole series. Mentions T20 is not a format where they can relax and they take every game seriously. Appreciates the bowlers for the way they bowled in this series. They would want to carry forward the momentum into the series against New Zealand. Ends by acknowledging Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez for the way they have played.
Australia skipper, Aaron Finch, says they had a chance in all three games as any target below 160 is chaseable. Admits they lacked partnerships. Credits Pakistan for their fielding. Mentions the bowling was a positive but their batting in the middle overs against spin is where they have to improve. Ends by saying, the series against Sri Lanka and South Africa is not going to be easy.
Man of the Series, Babar Azam says this was his best innings amongst the three as he had to change his game a little today. Adds further he would want to carry forward the form he is in, into the matches coming ahead. Ends by saying the role given to him which is to play throughout suits him and he paces his innings according to the situation.
Man of the Match, Shadab Khan, says he bowled good lines and lengths today. Reckons the ball was skidding more tonight and it was griping more in the last game. Adds further he has a gaemplan for every batsman and it came off well today. Ends by saying he is not angry on his teammates for dropping the catches as he himself dropped one, on his own bowling.
Australia for once did well at the start but was just not good enough. They kept losing wickets but maintained pace with the scoring rate. They were level with Pakistan after 10 overs but lost 5 more wickets. None of the their batsmen held one end and they were no where in the game. Earlier on, after a good opening partnership Pakistan managed to put on 150 on the board. Stay tuned for the presentation.
Another dominant performance from the hosts. This is the first time Pakistan have ever whitewashed Australia in any format in a 3-match series. What a display by the Men in Green and they continue showing-off why they are the no.1 T20I side. Once again, apart from the few dropped catches they were clinical in the field. Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers picking up three wickets. Baring Imad, everyone chipped in with the wickets. They didn't allow any partnership to build and kept getting regular breakthroughs.
Hasan Ali to Adam Zampa. OUT! No miracle as Zampa is the last man to be dismissed. The slower ball on off, Zampa makes room and tries to go over covers. Usman Khan to Nathan Lyon. A full ball on middle, Lyon hits it down to long on. They run the first one and go for the second. Malik throws it towards the keeper but it hits Lyon. 34 needed in 6 balls. So Australia are still mathematically in it but they need a miracle.

Andrew Tye strides out to the middle.
Usman Khan to D'Arcy Short. OUT! What a catch by Shoaib Malik. Catch no. 45 in T20Is and it is one he won't forget soon. He is one of the best fielders in the Pakistan team and he is living up to that reputation. A short ball on the body of Short. He flat-bats it towards wide long on. Shadab Khan to D'Arcy Short. The googly on off, Short keeps it out.
Nathan Coulter-Nile is the new man in.
Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. OUT! Marsh walks back and probably he takes back with him Australia's hopes of chasing this down. Shadab Khan gets his third. Excellent bowling. He knew Marsh would use his feet so he bowls it short and also on his body, cramping him for room. Marsh chips it down towards long on. The shot has enough power that it carries towards the fielder at long on. Malik there runs in and takes a decent catch.
Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Shadab tosses it above the eye line but the length is very full, Marsh tries to get under it but fails to do so but gets an inside edge onto his pads.
