After having a winning start against Thailand in the tri-nation T20I series, Malaysia is all set to lock horns with Maldives at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The tri-nation series which begun from June 24 will end on June 29,2019. This is the first time that Malaysia is playing a T20I tournament after being qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier in October 2018. Talking about the first game, Malaysia clichéd a five-wicket victory against Thailand at the Kinrara Academy Oval.
Thailand made a total of 113 runs with the loss of eight wickets. Team Thailand lost its first wicket quite early in the game. However, Naveed Pathan and Henno Jordan provided the team with much-needed support by scoring 33 and 37 runs respectively. Malaysia on the other had quite a horrendous start to their innings as they lost four wickets at the start of their innings.
However, Muhamad Syahadat and Syed Aziz were the ones who played a vital role in taking the team to the finishing line. The team achieved the total in 17 overs and walked away with the last laugh. It would be interesting to see if Malaysia continues to win matches or Maldives puts an end to their winning streak.
