The Windies bowlers took a real pounding today! Williams had a day to forget as he went for aplenty in every over. Bravo, Pierre and Cottrell started off poorly but managed to end really well. Bravo especially, he was the pick of the bowlers along with Walsh. It is because of these two the Irishmen did not run away with the game. Both had combined figures of 8-0-53-3 which is exceptional considering the carnage we witnessed in this innings.

What a batting display from the visitors! They actually struggled to go over the 200-run mark in the 50-over format but have ended with a score above 200 in the shortest version. It though could have easily been a lot more as they were 154 for 0 in the 13th over. The openers blasted the Windies bowlers all over. They managed to smash 93 in the Powerplay and did not slow down too after that. Stirling was nearing his ton whereas Kevin his half ton. Both though missed out and fell in quick succession and then the Windies managed to squeeze the runs and also pick wickets at regular intervals. However, some handy runs from Delany and Wilson saw Ireland go over the 200-run mark.

Sheldon Cottrell to Simi Singh. OUT! CAUGHT! Ends the innings with back-to-back wickets. Evin Lewis takes a terrific catch and that ends the innings for Ireland. Full delivery on the pads, Singh flicks it nicely but does not get the required distance on it. Evin Lewis stationed at deep square leg, takes a good catch. He sees himself going over the ropes due to the momentum but he manages to keep his foot inside the rope. Just 10 runs have come from the last two overs. Excellent death-over bowling from the hosts! It is now time for the shortest format of the game! West Indies will be taking on the Irish. The hosts bossed throughout the ODI series and they would look to do the same in the T20 format as well.
