Ireland tour of West Indies 2020

West Indies will square off against Ireland in the 1st T20I match of the three-match series on January 15, 2020. The game will be held at National Cricket Stadium in St.George's, Grenada. The home team whitewashed the visitor in the recently concluded three matches ODI series.

The Men in Maroon cleared their intent at the start of the series only as they put up a thumping performance in the opening match and clinched the first ODI by five wickets. They, however, got good competition from the Irish men in the second match but they hold their nerves at the crucial moments and bagged a one-wicket triumph.

Ever since Kieron Pollard took over the reins of the side, Windies looked an entirely different team and have played cricket of highest quality. They won the opening ODI by five wickets and pulled out a victory from the jaws of defeat in the second ODI.

Gayle is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 (BPL). He represents Chattogram Challengers in the competition. The left-hander recently took part in the Mzansi Super League in South Africa. Gayle last played for West Indies in August 2019 against India in an ODI match.
