Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Highlights And Cricket Score 19th Match - T20 Summary

End of Over : 17.4 SRH: 96/10

The table flips again! Saturday's double-header saw Chennai trump Punjab while Mumbai demolished Hyderabad defending a modest total. That sees Dhoni's side top the table for now, with 8 points from 5 matches. Hyderabad are in second while Mumbai slot into the top 4. Sunday's double header sees Bangalore host Delhi at 4 pm local, followed by the Rajasthan-Kolkata clash at 8 pm local. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!

ALZARRI JOSEPH HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH FOR HIS 6/12. Smiles and says that this is a dream start. On his inclusion in the playing XI, Joseph says that he just looked to keep it simple and do the basics. On muted celebrations on the David Warner wicket, Alzarri says that he was more focussed on the team winning at that point of time.

Victorious Mumbai captain, Rohit Sharma, admits that he is very pleased with the result in the last 2 games. Coyly says that 136 was not a great score but the bowlers held their nerves and gave it their all. Is full of praise for the debutant Alzarri Joseph for bringing his confidence from the CPL and the Windies cricket team. Agrees that the Mumbai batsmen played rash strokes on a wicket which was very sticky. However, once they got to 136, he backed his bowlers to come and defend that. Also admits that the Mumbai think-tank did plan to exploit the brittle middle order of Hyderabad and once the openers were dismissed, Rohit was confident that his team could knock off the wickets in the middle overs as well. On Mumbai being slow starters, Sharma says that it is not an ideal thing at all and wants his team to be more consistent. Expects characters to step up, like Pollard and Alzarri did in this game.

Hyderabad skipper, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, says the dropped catches cost them big time. Mentions it could have been an easy chase but the runs from Pollard proved the difference. States taking catches is very important in this game but they failed to do so. Admits the openers failed today and the middle order did not come to the fore as well. Ends by saying the wicket was not a normal flat one but the score should have been chased down.

Earlier in the game, Hyderabad had the game under control having Mumbai at 97/7 after 18 overs. But the last 2 overs went for 39 and the hosts have ended up losing by 40 runs. Had Mumbai been restricted to 120 or below, Hyderabad could have ended up winning. Time for the presentation...

Coming to Hyderabad, this is what happens when your middle order is not that strong. They have been facing this issue for the last 2-3 years now, with the batting resting mainly on Warner, Williamson and Dhawan (till last year). This season, it has been mainly Warner and Bairstow. Can they find a way to get Shakib into the playing XI? Or maybe, do what Melbourne Renegades, an Australian T20 franchise, does with Mohammad Nabi. Use him at number 4 or 5. The middle order simply did not turn up tonight and it was very difficult for a set batsman to score on a sluggish pitch.

The crowd look stunned but let us be fair. They have seen what they don't get to see everyday. A fast bowler, tearing through the opposition (in this case their own home team) on a slow pitch. He got the big wicket early on - of David Warner and then, it was like just cutting a piece of paper with a scissor. However, 4 out of his 6 wickets came in the last 10 balls. Outstanding. From the other end, Behrendorff and Bumrah did their bit while Rahul Chahar impressed with a 2-fer.

Alzarri Shaheim Joseph. Remember the name. Just remember the name. A few weeks ago, this 22-year old kid stunned his country by turning out to play a Test match in the Caribbean, forgoing his mother's funeral. Here, on League debut, he has broken a record which lasted for 11 years. Take a bow.

17.4 W

Alzarri Joseph to Siddarth Kaul. OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! He does get a six-fer. Best figures by a bowler in the Indian T20 League. What a performance by the youngster. Outstanding stuff. He lands this one on a length and it is outside off. Kaul hangs his bat out, the ball kisses the outside edge and de Kock behind makes no mistake. All smiles in the Mumbai camp as THEY HAVE WON BY 40 RUNS!

17.3 1

Alzarri Joseph to Sandeep Sharma. Goes short and outside off, Sharma guides it to point and takes a single.

17.2 4

Alzarri Joseph to Sandeep Sharma. FOUR! Poor ball and put away! Down the leg side, Sandeep flicks it through short fine leg for a boundary.

17.1 W

Alzarri Joseph to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. OUT! Or he would just look to shuffle across in the hope to find a boundary but miss with his flick shot and see his middle stump get uprooted. FIFER FOR ALZZARI! That too on debut, how better could you start your Indian T20 League career. They do check for the no ball but AJ is fine. He now has 5 balls to take a six-fer.

End of Over : 17 2 Runs 17.4: 91/8
16.6 1

Jasprit Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This is angled into the batter. Kumar works it through square leg for a single. Kumar I think now will try and reduce the margin of defeat as much as possible.

16.5 0

Jasprit Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Angles this one into the batter, Kumar works it to mid-wicket.

16.4 W

Jasprit Bumrah to Mohammad Nabi. OUT! That is probably the final nail in the coffin. Bumrah gets rid of Nabi. Hits the deck hard and lands it on middle, the ball zips through. Nabi is way too late in the pull shot. It goes off the top edge towards mid off and Rohit takes it with ease.

16.3 0

Jasprit Bumrah to Mohammad Nabi. On the shorter side and on middle, Nabi looks to make room and slashes at it but misses.

16.2 1

Jasprit Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Another length ball and around off, Kumar this time guides it down to third man and gives the strike to MN.

16.1 0

Jasprit Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Good length and on off, Kumar tries the right thing as he looks to give the strike to Nabi by guiding it to point but the latter is not interested.

End of Over : 16 5 Runs 17.4: 89/7
15.6 1

Alzarri Joseph to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. No hat-trick though. The idea was right. It is full but the line is a little too straight. Kumar looks to flick but it hits his pads and rolls towards mid-wicket. A leg bye taken. 5 runs and two wickets from this one.

15.5 W

Alzarri Joseph to Rashid Khan. OUT! Two-in-two for Joseph and it is Mumbai's game to lose now! The short ball does the trick again for him. It is on the body and rushes onto the batsman. Rashid looks to pull by taking his eyes off the ball. The ball takes the top edge, then hits the shoulder and lobs beside the pitch. Joseph runs towards it and takes it. Nabi has to do it by himself. Needs to replicate what Pollard did. On the other hand, AJ is on a hat-trick on his debut.

15.4 W

Alzarri Joseph to Deepak Hooda. OUT! BOOM! Third for Joseph. You miss, I hit. Full and straight. Hooda swings across the line but misses. The furniture behind is disturbed. Hooda, the batsman who was set walks back. 49 needed in 26.

15.4 wd

Alzarri Joseph to Deepak Hooda. WIDE! Down the leg side again, Hooda goes for the paddle but once again misses. Wided again.
